Idyllic Summer is a s/s 2020 bed linen collection for Linen House that takes reference from the Italian countryside, beaches, architecture and food and aims to portray the ‘perfect summer’ through a mixture of carefree, vibrant and sun dappled colour palette. Capturing the diverse Italian scenery, this collection was designed to fit within an eclectic and artistic bedroom space.
I collect all the materials which I thought would express my mood and look good together. Some of these materials were given to me by my talented felting friend Gabi Beeking and others were purchased by Traub Wolle here in the area in Winterbach Germany.
I did the initial artwork in watercolour and pen.
My design was based on birds and flowers from my garden along with some fantasy elements.
Bulbul bird, orchid, jonquils, rose, buddleia, foxglove, thyme, bees, butterflies, ladybird, snail.
I didn't have any tuition, I was just winging it. It was a lot of work but it turned out okay.
Fridge magnets made from Moo business cards. These are made with fine quality optically clear kiln fired glass tiles (craft supply). They can be bonded with either a water based glaze or jewellers adhesive.
I finished the back with glazed black paper and a cute but very strong little magnet.

Playing off the Bloomerie Fabrics logo, I created a range of colors for this tossed flower print. Not for the faint of heart. :)

I cleaned my apartment and made my bed for mom's visit.
Also, I made everything in this photo - from the steel canopy bed with black velvet curtains, to dyeing the sheet and folded bedspread, the fabric cinderblock headboard, and the curtains on the windows.
Hope she feels at home!

We made a huge batch for over 3 kilos of wool. Irma was satisfied with the outcome of the dye vat and was surprised how dark it turned out! This big copper kettle is an antique clothes washing tub from Germany!

Branding & photography collateral for textile and clothing brand Abbey Rich.

The aim was to provide a simple and playful logo-type which reflects the essence of the brand. As part of the collateral I shot some images for her latest collection.
