Willie Wouldhave tested his lifeboat model at South Shields beach in 1789. His friend and collaborator W A Hails wrote that the model was unsinkable and self righting. The model lifeboat in South Shields museum is almost certainly not Wouldhave's model as it is not self righting. This model was made from Hails description and it performed well in the test showing great stability and the ability to surf down waves as well as being self righting in all conditions.
Testing the background light. Cheers!

diameter of tripod-screw is 22 mm. Note the hard shadow to the lower left (from main flash higher up, further back and slightly to the right)
Test casts from a rough, quick mold. The silicone got weird where the inner part touched the outer part, so the edges (especially the eyes) aren't that good. The resin is super pretty though.
This one is probably the closest to the real color, though in real life it is a bit darker and just slight pinker.

Picked up a new background really cheap today.

Also, I wanted to test 80-200 AF-S, which sometimes seems soft to me. This time all pictures were sharp.

Testing a remote setup for a future shoot. Camera on magic arm attached to the fork and right grip. Pocket wizards triggered by button located on the left hand side of the handlebar. PW trigger both camera and two remote flashes on for at the camera right at 1/2 power and one as a rimlight behind me (rider) at 1/1. f16/0,5 sec. Remote PW on 0,43 second delay to get rear curtain sync. flash placement was a bit tricky as was the timing of the delay.
