Test roll 1 from the Canon EOS 3. There's a bit of a learning curve, but all in all, I'm happy with the purchase. My portraits from this roll turned out the best.

There does seem to be a tendency to overexpose, which I'll need to work on.

This is a test of my waterproof ink pens. I found I could get a nice range of grays by using one or two coats of various inks. Some of the combinations are similar, but I can get at least seven step grayscale from the paper color to black.

Part of the test of become the ride operator of the FreeFall when it was at Six Flags Over Georgia. I don't know of any other theme parks who still used essay tests like SFOG did, including other Six Flags parks. Typically each test had 5 multiple choice questions, a handful of general, basic short answer type questions, a bunch of definitions like these, and then a handful of longer questions that required a few paragraphs to answer.

Taken with SX-70, wheel darkened three marks. Photo was taken on an overcast day in the AM. This photo was my third try at getting the frog to stand out and not be overcome with the pink tint that is predominant in the photo. I moved the frog about 4 feet from the azaleas to accomplish this.

Test Driving the Origin Jumpworks 300 Series variants. This was unlocked for all backers 02/13/2015 for a week of testing. 4 variants are available.

300i

If you’re going to travel the stars… why not do it in style? The 300i is Origin Jumpworks’ premiere luxury spacecraft. It is a sleek, silver killer that sends as much of a message with its silhouette as it does with its weaponry.

315P

Exploration is man’s highest calling. Prepare to chart distant horizons with man’s most sophisticated piece of technology, the ORIGIN 315p. Featuring a more robust power plant and a custom scanning package, exclusively designed by Chimera Communications.

325A

Just because it’s a rough galaxy doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice your comfort: the 325a can come out on top in any dogfight. The 325a features an advanced weapon payload as well as a custom targeting system designed especially for the 325a by WillsOp.

350R

The combination of a Gangleri BP 707 Standard powerplant with a 300i fuselage re-engineered to accommodate twin Hammer Propulsion HM 4.3 thrusters makes the 350r the fastest personal craft you’ll ever call your own.

Short video of a graphics test I wrote as part of a larger program I'm writing. The rotation is actually the easy part - getting the stupid lines to line up was harder than it should have been...

Today I finally got around to sewing the apron that has been sitting beside my sewing machine in pieces for the past month. I wanted to make a "test" version before making one with fabrics that are a bit more precious. I think the neck is a bit too wide for my body, so I'm going to alter it slightly for the next version.

Pattern is from Lotta Jansdotter's "Simple Sewing".

* Mill Race Junction

This location is the exit loop from what is shown in the timetable as 'Brightside UP/DN East Slow' starting just south-west of the old Brightside station and continuing on alongside the mainline tracks on the south side to the location of Grimesthorpe junction where the access into the old LDECR Goods station was located on the Sheffield District Railway over the LDECR had running power, the area was Coopers Scrapyard and is now EMR, European Metal Recyclers. I managed to get over in around 10 minutes, just a minute or so before the set was due to depart into Sheffield for another stop of 25 minutes before heading off south to Derby. The tracks shown here are the main lines out of Sheffield on the right and the Brightside loops and access to the EMR scrap yard on the left; the left-most line curving off due south to cross the river Don into the EWR yard. Time to move on once more for the final shot the set approaching Sheffield Midland through the site of what used to be Attercliffe Station, around half a mile north of the main station..
