Rep. Thompson testified in Congress this week with Judy Ahmann, a rancher from Napa County, on his bill that would designate the Berryessa Snow Mountain region as a National Conservation Area (NCA). This designation will preserve the land, ensure recreational access, help our local economies, and make sure taxpayers get the most bang for their buck by putting these federal lands under one management plan. The bill does not impact private land in any way. It will only protect and enhance the public lands for those who live in and visit the Berryessa Snow Mountain Region.
