Our current story arc involves Admiral Seriman's Terran Empire alternate, and his desperate attempts to save his own life and get revenge at all costs.

Major Scrumptious "Scrummy" Sky: (bursts onto the bridge of the Frigus Iustitia, literally sparkling) I wish you would try the Happy Springs with me, Pips. Look at me! I'm radiant!

Captain Debris "Pips" Jetsam: Scrummy, that much radiance belongs out in the corona, not on this bridge. (smiling at her Aquarian friend)

MSS: (preens, causing dazzling sparkles of light to bounce around the bridge) You're just allergic to happiness.

CDJ: (brushing sparkles away from her control console) No, I'm just wary of artificial happiness. If you and I both get happy, this ship would-

COL: (his hol appears in the forward part of the bridge) Stonehenge Intergalactic Spacefort communications to Frigus Iustitia.

MSS: Oo! (touches a glowing button on a nearby console) Frigus Iustitia to Stonehenge. Lovely to see you, Loqui. Tell me I'm beautiful, you adorable Terran.

CDJ: (sighs) Sorry, Loqui, she's been at the spa. Go ahead.

PT: Pips, Scrummy, I need you back at Stonehenge right now. This is from top brass at IRC.

MSS: Loqui, why do you sound like Plush?

PT: (stepping closer to COL so that she's captured by the hol) I'm here, too.

MSS: Good, because I've been meaning to ask, why do you Terrans still use the term, "top brass?" None of you have used brass for anything for over two hundred years-

CDJ: Scrummy ... (she smiles apologetically at PT's hol) Happy Springs.

PT: I understand, but nobody's going to be happy if the two of you aren't back here before Director Steadfast docks.

MSS: The deceptively delicious Director?

PT: Pips?

CDJ: I'll have her sobered up before we dock.

COL: (smiling) Too bad.

CDJ: (as she preps the ship for departure, recalling crew) Why is the Director coming to Stonehenge, Plush? That sounds serious.

PT: He suspects we have a spy somewhere in IRC. A spy working for an unidentified, hostile alien presence that just kidnapped a group of scientists from Hypatia, who are working on the Plicare experiment.

MSS: (seems to sober all on her own) Plicare?

CDJ: We'll be under way in four minutes, Plush. Frigus Iustitia ending hol.

Captain Debris Jetsam's spaceship, Frigus Iustitia, has been commandeered from Stonehenge Intergalactic Spacefort by an unknown entity that has seized control of Major Scrumptious Sky!

Terran IRC

Civilian Oversight Chief Plush Tusch has granted Cpt. Jetsam emergency, temporary command of a military ship, and she strides onto its bridge with Chief Medical Officer Lance Boyle close on her heels.

Everyone on the bridge turns to look at them.

CDJ: First question; what the name of this vessel?

A striking man, Quartermaster DeiPhi Ngravity, in a military uniform regards her with amusement.

QDPN: Second question; who is asking?

CDJ: Captain Debris Jetsam, assuming temporary emergency command.

QDPN: (becomes professional) My apologies, Captain. We were just informed that you would be taking command. I thought you were ... taller. (clears his throat) This is the IRC Agatha Christie. I am Quartermaster DeiPhi Ngravity, Acting Captain.

CDJ: Is the crew compliment aboard?

QDPN: Yes, Captain.

CDJ: Good. (looks at the Comm Officer) Shipwide comm.

Comm Officer: Shipwide, aye.

CDJ: Crew of the Agatha Christie, this is Captain Debris Jetsam assuming temporary, emergency command. (she glances at QDPN)

QDPN: This is Quartermaster DeiPhi Ngravity, confirming temporary change of command.

CDJ: We will be pursuing my ship, the Frigus Iustitia, which was recently (glances at CMOLB), liberated from Stonehenge Spacefort. (ignores QDPN's raised eyebrow) Assume your posts. Prepare to leave dock. End of internal message.

CommO: Aye, Captain.

CDJ: (moves down to the command chair) Quartermaster?

QDPN: Pilot, clear docking.

Pilot: Aye, sir.

incident report’

On 2250.05.12 when First Officer Teddy met the human official

Winter, he was 2m tall (78.7 inches in the Terran arachaic

measuring system).

When he was being returned to his home on 2250.05.30 after

assisting on a delicate mission on an unnamed planet starting

with G, he arrived at 0.5m tall (19.65 inches).

Can find nothing wrong with the teleporter. Diagnostics show all systems running according to specs. Can not determine why 75% of his mass did not arrive.

Winter is a tad upset and is planning on suing the Federation if this cannot be remedied.

It cannot.

Please advise.

Between Aquarius and Luna Duo, revolving languidly, like an ivory Ferris wheel, the Stonehenge Intergalactic Spacefort monitors star systems both near and remote, ceaselessly seeking extra-terrestrial life for friendship, and maintaining vigilance for potential threats to the Interstellar Reciprocity Coalition, IRC.

One of the planets belonging to the IRC is Hypatia, a garden planet of serene beauty where philosophers, scientists, and artists from all over the galaxy live and work in harmony. But something unexpected and terrifying is about to shatter that tranquility, drawing Terran IRC Civilian Oversight Chief Plush Tusch, Terran IRC Captain Debris Jetsam, and IRC Aquarian Major Scrumptious Sky into an evil web intended to snare the entire galaxy!

CDJ: (strides into the Frigus Iustitia sickbay where MSS stands beside a medbed where DL lies) Scrummy, what happened, down there?

MSS: The remaining scientists were taken by the hand. Dhee was the only one remaining when I arrived.

DL: (to MSS) You shouldn't have endangered yourself.

CDJ: (to DL) Well, Scrummy's the heroic type. Are you all right?

Chief Medical Officer Lance Boyle: (joining them) Trying to do my job, too, Captain?

CDJ: I need the extra pay. (smiling)

DL: All of this attention is unnecessary.

CMOLB: I'm the professional, here. Please allow me to be the judge of that. (smiles) Let's just take a look. (passes his hand over a display at the end of the bed and a holo diagnosis screen curves up and over the length of DL's body) Some of your stats are a little high, but considering you were nearly kidnapped by an unknown alien, I think we can attribute that to stress.

CDJ: Well, we'll be docking at Stonehenge any moment. Scrummy can take you to the bar for a drink of whatever Aquarians drink to steady their nerves, then we'll meet in the Director's office?

MSS: That sounds like a good plan. (to CDJ) Dhee, shall we vee directly to the bar?

DL: Yes, thank you. (rises from the medbed) Thank you, Dr. (to CMOLB)

CMOLB: Anytime.

CDJ: (once the two Aquarians are out of sickbay) Okay, Doc, want to tell me what's got you worried?

CMOLB: Hm? Worried? No, I'm not worried. Concerned, I suppose. Interested. Aquarian biology is very different from ours, no matter how much they look like us, superficially.

CDJ: So, what has you, "interested?"

CMOLB: Remember how I said how I attributed her high stats to the stress of the attack?

CDJ: You don't think that's what caused it?

CMOLB: (looks at CDJ) Captain, Aquarians never experience stress.

MSS and DL enter the vee room and MSS informs the vee tech of their destination. The vee tech suddenly gasps, looking past MSS, to something happening behind her. MSS turns, discovering DL radiating a blue mist.

MSS: Dhee, what are you doing? (taking a step toward the scientist)

DL: I can't resist the returning. This is the only way to protect our people.

VeeTech: Captain Jetsam! Emergency in vee room two!

CDJ: (in sickbay with CMOLB, the comlink in her left temple glows blue) What kind of emergency?

MSS: We can return to sickbay! Doc can place you in stasis!

DL: Me, but not it. (the mist thickens around DL)

VeeTech: Medical, I think! It's the Aquarian scientist!

CDJ and CMOLB race out of sickbay, toward vee room two.

MSS: (reaches toward DL, but her fingers can't penetrate the mist) There must be another way.

DL: (smiles) Your Terran friend is wearing off on you. (looks serious) Beware the Voice. It wants something, very badly. (the mist has nearly made her invisible)

CDJ and CMOLB enter the vee room at a run, both drawing up short when they see MSS standing before a misty, glowing cocoon of blue.

MSS: (solemnly) We are with you. We thank you for your sacrifice.

CDJ: (quietly) Scrummy, what --?

The cocoon of blue mist suddenly collapses in on itself, and the mist drifts apart, almost instantly dissipating, vanishing, and the Aquarian scientist is gone. MSS turns to CDJ, who gasps, seeing that her Aquarian friend's eyes are solid, neon blue!

What mainly inspired me for this build:

- intergalactic racing pit stop station something by LEGOLIZE IT MAN (2018).

- Bastard of Winterfell by dasnewten (2011).

- UNES Odyssey 21 by Kyle Collard (2013). I don't recall very well but I think this inspired me for the sensor array and the general black aesthetic behind the hull.

This is my tribute to that glorious era in the 2010's when people like dasnewten, Red Spacecat, LEGOLIZE IT MAN, Ryan Olsen, Alexander Safarik, Tim Schwalfenberg, only to name a few (find all the others in my favorites), were building all those amazing microspace ships more or less inspired by Homeworld universe, or with a brick-built hull.

We are on Earth, in the Terran System in a small section of the Alpha Quadrant.

The Homosapiens who occupied this planet used to make a show called "Star Trek" in the 20th and 21st Centuries. The show was about an optimistic, egalitarian, utopian future. However, they destroyed themselves with their own racism, selfishness, consumerism, greed and capitalism.

Oh, what they could have been......"

Spock and Mini Spock give it two Vulcan Salutes (the equivalent of two thumbs up for you Terrans!)!

This is not your momma's Star Trek! But that is a good thing! Never before has Star Trek provided so many nail biting, edge of your seat moments! It is much hipper and somewhat more believeable than the typical Trek of old, and has a much more frenetic pace. However, the filmmakers never lose track of what made the original Trek work so well - the characters!

The characterizations here are all very faithful and strong. All of the main characters get their moment(s) in the spotlight.

Not only is this movie much more action packed and exciting than ye olde Trek, it's a lot funnier too, with lots of great character driven humor. McCoy and Scotty in particular are hilarious and the actors playing them deserve special reckognition for so sucessfully capturing the essence of these characters. Of course, it's all about Kirk and Spock and here again, both actors do an excellent job with these Sci Fi icons. Chris Pine in particular does a great job of giving us a Kirk who still seems like Kirk without doing a cheesy Shatner impersonation. He owns the character and makes it his own, as does Zachary Quinto as Spock. Eric Bana's villian, Nero is quite excellent, I only wish we had seen a bit more of him. Leonard Nimoy's appearances in the film are all fantastic and serve the purpose of passing the torch quite well. You'll want to cheer when he first shows up!

Continuity hounds should not allow themselves to be thrown or discouraged by events that seem at odds with established Trek lore, if you hang in there, all will be explained, just sit back and enjoy the ride. There are a few minor things that seem like plot holes to me, but they didn't really detract from my enjoyment of the movie and I don't think most people will notice them, they'll be too busy having a good time!

The designs of everything in the film harkens back to what made the original series so cool, but succesfully purges them of their dated, somewhat silly elements.

This is hardly the best film ever made, but it is a great tribute to a Sci Fi classic which constantly entertains and leaves you begging for more. It is the best reboot/reimagining of something I've ever seen. It's one hell of an origin story for this legendary crew, but it is nothing less than what such classic characters deserve.

if this movie doesn't re-energize the Trek franchise, then frankly NOTHING ever will. In fact I suspect it will re-energine the entire sci-fi space opera genre in general.

May the new Trek franchise Live Long and Prosper!

In March, the Relativity Space Terran 1 rocket lit up the night sky as it launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. This was the first launch of a test rocket made entirely from 3D-printed parts, measuring 100 feet tall and 7.5 feet wide. A form of additive manufacturing, 3D printing is a key technology for enhancing capabilities and reducing cost. Terran 1 included nine additively manufactured engines made of an innovative copper alloy, which experienced temperatures approaching 6,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

Created at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland under the agency’s Game Changing Development program, this family of copper-based alloys known as Glenn Research Copper, or GRCop, are designed for use in combustion chambers of high performance rocket engines. A combination of copper, chromium, and niobium, GRCop is optimized for high strength, high thermal conductivity, high creep resistance – which allows more stress and strain in high temperature applications – and good low cycle fatigue -– which prevents material failures –above 900 degrees Farenheit. They tolerate temperatures up to 40% higher than traditional copper alloys, which leads to higher performance components and reusability.

The ship itself is made with real bricks. For the lights, I simply placed LEDs on the bricks, and removed the wires when editing. That way, I have realistic reflections on the ship.

For the background, I made it myself in 3D. It was the first time I used Blender, I'm quite happy with the result. It takes way longer to make than simply finding an image online, but I can precisely modify the viewing angle, colors, textures and lighting to match exactly what I want.

CMC power battle suit from Starcraft 2 Terran.

Ok, here we go.

It's basically inspired by Pierre's Assault Cruiser, as you can see here:

www.flickr.com/photos/47881312@N04/5150560115/in/photostream

Just got these awesome Hero Factory bricks and I wanted to built a space ship out of them since I saw them the first time.

It took me a while to fix those angles, because the connection options with those blue parts are quite weird....

And by the way, I achieved a nice-looking photo I think ;)

Enjoy!

An updated, refitted version of the Battlecruiser. Hull container section shortened, aft section modified a bit. Better turret coverage, also a bit more detailed small anti-fighter turrets.

I wouldn't touch it, but the stand broke and had to dismantle the ship to the bare bones... that was a good occasion for some fixes.

An unidentified voice in the liquid mind of all Aquarians. Confusion swirls and eddies as they seek to comprehend something that has never happened before.

And on the bridge of Frigus Iustitia, Major Scrumptious Sky is about to break a 1 Ma tradition with the only Terran she considers as close as family, Captain Debris Jetsam.

CDJ: Vee operator reports everyone aboard. Ready to tach it up, Scrummy?

MSS: T field generating. All stations report ready.

CDJ: Navigator reports T plan for Hypatia logged. Proceed at tach one.

MSS: Tach one activated. (the starfield on the forward screen turns purple for a moment, as the ship slips into faster-than-light speed then the computers generate a generic representation of the starfield between the ship and its destination)

CDJ: AIP in control. (looks at MSS) Is that a frown?

MSS: My species cannot "frown."

CDJ: looks like a frown.

MSS: Our facial muscles are not the same as yours, and you know that. My expression is called, kwul. My thoughts are -- disturbed.

CDJ: That's a first. I'm a captive audience. Tell me more.

MSS: You're making a joke, but this is serious. I -- we are troubled.

CDJ: You mean, "we?" All Aquarians, "we?" (gets a nod from MSS) That's serious. Okay, I'm serious, now. What's going on?

MSS: (turns to CDJ) I have many friends, Pips, but I think of you as family.

CDJ: (smiles) Well, thank you, Scrummy. I like to think of you as the dangerous, popular older sister I never had.

MSS: (also smiles) There are many secrets we don't reveal to off-worlders, but I trust you not to reveal what I am going to tell you. This has been held in private for longer than Terrans have been civilized.

CDJ: You know I want to make a comment that some species would argue that Terrans still aren't civilized, but I am being serious.

MSS: (smiles) I understand. Pips, there is no other species like Aquarians. There are other telepaths, empaths, and so on, but the fluid mind, as off-worlders call it, is unique to us. It is more than telepathy or empathy, but it is not a single mind. Our thoughts flow, eddy, whirl, and ebb. But no one else may swim in the sea of our thoughts -- until now.

CDJ: What do you mean?

MSS: There is a mind swimming in our sea of thoughts, and we do not know who it is.

CDJ: (looking alarmed) An invader? Somebody broke into your collective thoughts?

MSS: Someone has targeted one of the scientists on Hypatia. One of the scientists working on Plicare, Dr. Litefful. She has isolated her mind as best she can. Think of her mind, right now, as a tide pool, and there is someone standing in it.

CDJ: Does she know why?

MSS: Before isolating herself, she formed the opinion that it had to do with Plicare. That is not the imminent threat, Pips.

CDJ: It's not? Some potentially dangerous alien is after the secrets of Plicare and you can't figure out who it is? It could be the aliens who kidnapped the others!

MSS: The imminent danger is to Dr. Litefful. Our ocean cannot become polluted by this invader, but the tide must rise, just as it ebbs. And when the ocean rises-

CDJ: It fills the tide pools.

MSS: (nods) This crisis has never before faced our people, but we know what must be done. The ocean must not reclaim the tide pool.

CDJ: But, no one can hold back the tide.

MSS: So, the tide pool must not be there when the tide returns.

CDJ: Wait, are you saying -- What are you saying?

(at that moment, the forward screen glows purple then displays an image of the planet, Hypatia as the Frigus Iustitia enters orbit)

MSS: We have arrived.

Here's my take on the Terran Space Construction Vehicle from StarCraft.

"I'm claustrophobic you know!"

Has been improved, see my other album.

What inspired me for this build:

- Mark Kelso's Rusty ferret for the front.

- Norsehound's Somtaaw frigate for the back.

Building instructions and .ldr file available freely here. I strongly advise to have a look at it before doing anything.

Minor design changes may occur during the life of the MOC. When implemented, I make a new post in the album as soon as the building instructions are updated and available (the .zip file will indicate the date of the revision)

Finally, after a month of work, no less than three BL orders as well as many little transactions with other AFOLs, the Terran Battlecruiser is done. Biggest and most massive MOC I've ever built, this sub-SHIP is almost 80stud long and more than 60 stud wide. Based on in-game model, not the one seen in movies. Be sure to check WIP set to see how was it built!

At 11:25pm (ET) Wednesday, March 22, 2023, Relativity Space made history, successfully launching their 85% 3D-printed Terran 1 rocket.

The rocket successfully made it through Max-q, quite an accomplishment for the first flight.

Equal opportunities employment!

The East Terran Trading Company is finally ready to begin large scale exportation of vanilla from Jameston. The first stage of processing the 'Queen of Spices' is to sort the beans. A very manual process, workers sort the beans as they arrive from the plantations in the shade of a large warehouse painted in the typical citrus hues of Jameston. They are looking for beans between 10-25cm and discard any that are woody or brown. After sorting, further processing can begin (to be shown in future MOCs).
