A signal failure at Sevenoaks on 2 July 2016 meant that the down line could not be used south of there and some trains ran via Redhill; here we see 375710 emerging from Penshurst Tunnel on the 1350 Hastings - Charing Cross, which terminated at London Bridge.

Before the construction of the Hudson River tunnels, railroads approaching New York City from the Jersey side had to terminate along the Hudson Waterfront and then transfer passengers into Manhattan via ferries. CNJ Terminal, also known as Communipaw, was one of five terminals on the New Jersey side that operated this way. Road trip Canadian Rockies 2017
Day 14 : Night in Golden, BC. Today, I planned on hiking Revelstoke National Park, but the weather was really crappy. I went to the park, but the gate never opened. So, I went back to Golden and went to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and took the gondola to hike Terminator Peak and T2 Peak trails. As you can see, the weather was still pretty bad, but it was cool not to stay at the hotel all day.
