Sofi is the most resourceful young girl. She is an artist who will make something out of anything. Earlier she made a teepee out of twigs, some left over rope and some old magazine pages she found. Later on she made this teeter totter out of a log.

my childhood park is still old school. teeter totters, those merry go rounds that you hold onto and run real fast on the outside and old chain swings. And M. forgot her coat so she found my old gold letter jacket up in my closet.

This location opened on June 19th, 1996. It was renovated in fall 2012.

The store was built on site of part of the original shopping center from 1961. This end was anchored by what was originally a Colonial Stores, which was converted to a Safeway sometime in the 1970s and a Gene Walters' Marketplace in the late 1980s.

During loading, the barge becomes sort of a several hundred foot long teeter totter.

The barge is sunk to a certain depth then pulled through to level out.

custom Teeter for Wolfchild

It's pretty incredible how some of the rocks are positioned in JTNP. The stone shown in this photo it teetering on the edge of another stone.....it looks like I would be able to give it a shove and send it rolling. I tried....not even close. It's the size of a small car, and I guessing that's about the force it would take to move it.

Per wiki.....formed more than 100 million years ago from the cooling of magma beneath the surface into monzogranite, with roughly rectangular joints. Groundwater then filtered through the joints to erode away the corners and edges to create rounded stones, and flash floods washed away covering ground to create piles of boulders.

Interesting geological history here.....plus they are fun to climb on :)
