It's been a while, but I finally got a female Storm figure, with the last being Tyris Flare from Golden Axe.

Juri Han, as a character, was introduced in Super Street Fighter 4, making appearances in SFV and SFVI. Described as basically being completely crazy (with in game animations to back it up), this Tae Kwon Do user has become a favourite among players who like to pressure their opponents into making mistakes.

While I appreciate the character design, I have never actually used her, though as always, that doesn't stop me from getting figures.

So, the price point on these figures hasn't really changed since they removed the stand and kind of cut down the effects parts to the bare minimums. I guess that's a win?

Juri comes with 3 head sculpts (Neutral, Smiling, Chaos Engine), 8 total hands, a kicking effect and an arcing kick effect, both of which only seem to fit the right foot and can technically be used to replicate a variety of moves.

One of the first things I noticed when I opened the box is that face sculpts appear to be less cartoonish. This is nice on the surface, but ultimately Juri is a very expressive character, so going looney toons on the heads should have been the way to go.

Another immediately noticed aspect is that FINALLY, they brought back a functioning neck joint. Not sure if this has been done already, but even Tyris Flare, which was probably the most recent female figure, didn't have this. For whatever reason, Storm got rid of this after the first wave of SFV figures, and even then it was only on female characters. This is why Cammy has a fixed head position, unable to tilt her head.

Juri has many moves where she turns her back and you really need that neck articulation to get the pose looking generally accurate.

Now I'm not sure when, but at some point I guess the standard outfit for Juri went from leggings and a bust revealing top to a body suit. I recognize it, ironically, from SFVI, so I guess SFV must be where it became standard. Suit seems to be recreated in figure form quite nicely, and the head/hair overall looks appropriate. Sadly, the black parts aren't super glossy like in the game, though I suspect it might be hard to find a durable glossy paint.

Otherwise, the Storm body is generally capable of a pretty impressive range of motion, especially since here there is no outfit to get in the way. Now, while poses can be performed, getting them to balance for a photo is a bit of a different story, with single legged poses a real paint - I had hoped that the bigger feet would have come with reinforced ankle joints, but turns out I was asking for too much.

Speaking of too much.. those hands are GIGANTIC.

Otherwise, things are pretty typical. Paint Work is generally nice, but there isn't really anything that has that "WOW" factor. I guess having generally clean fingernails and toenails is kind of a first, as well as having flesh tone that matches across the body is also nice.

Build wise, again, nothing out of the ordinary, but in a good way. No loose joints or poor fitting parts, though, as mentioned, stronger ankle joints would have been appreciated on this figure. Effects parts appear to be well made and generally fit together properly and on the body snugly.
