A Food Truck & Technology Event in Downtown Orlando
Trucks & Tech is a mashup of two cultures that we love – foodies and techies. This is the only event around that combines discussion from leaders in the Central Florida tech community with top local food trucks to fill attendees’ minds and stomachs with the best of the best. For Trucks & Tech II: Trucktoberfest we have added a twist! This Oktoberfest themed event will feature German inspired food from each food truck, an all new Startup Alley, a costume contest and beer boots galore. So bring your lawn chairs, blankets and German spirit for a night of tech, food and fun.
It's an amazingly non-techy experience. There are 15 crew members;
about 12 of them on the ground push it and then chase it, pulling on
the ropes. It is moored into a cone at the top of a mast planted
firmly onto a truck that is temporarily pinned to the ground. just
before we took off, crew members tossed 10-pound bags of ballast into
a compartment below us.
... nothing exciting, but just in case you fellow non-techies ever wondered what it looks like inside an average computer (had to have my sound card changed the other day and couldn't resist making a photo of the freshly-vacuumed inside). I find it amazing - wonder what happens right now in there while I'm typing this. Not soooo long ago (relatively) a simple nib and an inkpot were enough to write.
In ALL SIZES it looks like one big sort of Kafkaesque factory. If you imagine tiny humans moving along the various storeys. Well ... you know.

Techy note: The $250 Canon s100 camera used for the balloon photography has GPS capabilities. However we found that the GPS satellite connection drained battery power too fast for longer excursions over water (eg +/- 45 minutes).
We disabled the GPS capabilities in favor of longer flight times (1.5 hours) so that we didn't have to go through the precarious operation of lowering a bouncy red balloon while on Gowanus Dredger's canoes. GPS locations for the 15 December S100 photos are being added manually.

Posteriormente, "Los Askis".
Sin duda el clímax del espectáculo llegó cuando Techy y su Grupo Aroma también conocido como Sexy Cumbia tras su aparición en el escenario, los jardineros no paraban de gritar y chiflar al contemplar las bellezas sobre el escenario.
El grupo se sigue presentando con sus canciones clásicas como. “Amor de Tres” “Querido Ladrón” “Por un rato” “Amiga mía” fueron algunos temas que los asistentes no dudaron en bailar y disfrutar al son.
Techy mostró su amor a los poblanos ya que poseen una energía increíble y eso la hizo sentir muy bien en el escenario.

A manual black and white conversion using PhotoShop CS6 of Burrator. A lonely troth submerged in its water. I did intend to capture this image on f22 but there wasn't quite enough light and my tripod was a bit dodgy. I wasn't going to place a £400 camera on a dodgy tripod by water...
