In the new millennium, everything seems possible because of the fast-growing technology world. Nowadays, it’s all about social media and techie inventions. It’s amazing how humans are growing as a race. Apparently, there’s a company whose goal involves sending a bunch of tourists up into space to gaze at our lovely planet Earth. Hopefully I’m going to be the first one buying that ticket when it’s launched (..in my dreams lol). Things like the Internet and cell phones have become an extraordinary new phenomenon. Perhaps Mark Zuckerburg will be the world’s first trillionaire for his creation of Facebook. And remember the days when “to Google” wasn’t a verb? It’s amazing once you stop and think about what these mere, normal citizens have managed to accomplish.
People are constantly coming up with new, innovative ways to operate in this world more efficiently. However, I often wonder if it’s really more “efficient” this way? What about the scarce fossil fuels that are depleting? And whilst communication is made easier, will technology black out our emotions so badly that we eventually turn almost robotic in our reactions? Or are we just going to blow each other up (which hopefully won’t happen)?
My question is: are we doing more harm than good? I wish I could answer that, but I’m like a technological imbecile lol. I guess only time will tell.

The elevator rung a light jazz tune as we ascended. No one spoke, the dinging of the floors we passed continued for what seemed like hours. The elevator slowed at ground floor 3. The doors slung open and we where met by 20 or so guards.
“Oh shit!” Grapes shouted as he franticly smacked the control panel on the elevator. The doors slowly closed as the guards opened fire. We all huddled to the sides and watched the bullets wiz by. Small dents filled up the doors.
We all grabbed a weapon from the cart. Olaf slung the HMG he found earlier over his shoulder. It could only be hip fired but held a greyhawk logo, which gave me some comfort. I didn’t know how it got here, but I felt as if greyhawk had once again planned ahead.
A ding came as the door opened again. Olaf charged the HMG and let loose a hail of bullets. The guards where helpless to the Large caliber Greyhawk 408. The ‘chug chug chug’ that came from the HMG’s internals was almost relaxing.
“common, cell block 3201 is only 3 blocks away. As we go there are a few stops we will make. I have little pockets of men who know the plan. ” the warlord said.
“Alright lets move” I said
The blocks where already burning from the riots. I had no idea it had started this soon, but what could I expect from the warlord. We sprinted through the cell blocks, a run and gun technique was the only technique that would work. If we bunkered down to get into a firefight, we would be surrounded quickly. The first stop we made was at cellblock 3204. A skinny man with a hawk like face and slicked back hair stepped out from a dark cell.
The shouting and crackling from the riots echoed from behind us. The hawk faced man shook hands with us and introduced himself as “The Diplomat.” he had a permanent grin on his face, and he took 7 guns and ammo for all of them. He smiled and shook hands with us once again.
“Alright, next stop is cell block 3202, we have two stops there. Then we find your techie and then step 3” shouted the warlord, a distant explosion rocked the building, I knew this had only begun.

My daughter's birthday is on Christmas day, so every year we've been going up to Tahoe for a little white Christmas. And every year, I would take the opportunity to take a few B&W landscapes, but my daughter never liked any of my B&W photos.
So this year, I wanted to do a photo she would like.
Lucky enough, there was a blizzard on Christmas night. So, after the birthday party I set out to make a photo. A few hours in a blizzard with a laser pointer and some color filters can do wonders.
One of my favourite films (& Finding Dory). The fish is the pool thermometer. Last time I looked about 30 minutes ago it was showing 27c. The video was shot on my iPhone so the quality isn't that good. I can shoot 4K videos on my Sony camera but I just can't figure out how to upload them to Flickr. A tad annoying to say the least. It would be nice if I was a bit more techie....
M51.Whirlpool Galaxy. Canes Venatici. 7th May 2008.
Intes MN71 - 18cm Maksutov-Newtonian. Canon 350D DSLR camera.
EQ6 Pro SynScan with autoguider.
This spectacular galaxy is located just below the tail star of Ursa Major but is actually in Canes Venatici. M51 appears to sport a tail with a structure attached. Decades ago, it was not known with certainty whether the companion galaxy (NGC 5195) was a true companion, or another galaxy passing at a distance. The advent of radio astronomy and subsequent radio images of M51 unequivocally demonstrated the reality of the interaction.
Placed almost at zenith there was considerable neck bending and painful contortion involved in finding a guide star.
8 x 5 minute exposures, 3 x 2.5 minute exposures and the corresponding dark frames and flat frames were all shot on the same evening. Each sequence was then stacked and converted in DeepSky Stacker and saved as 16 bit tif files. Final image combining and processing was done with Photoshop.
This picture needed a little more specialised equipment and processing than is usual. Taking the exposures took about three hours and image procesing a further hour and a half. It is a composite of eight, five minute exposures and the same number of frames of 'black nothing', called dark frames. The dark frames are used to reduce the electronic noise inherent in this type of low light, long exposure image. The lens was '35mm equivalent' to a 1600mm f7 telephoto. All a bit techie but rather a nice picture!

For about a week now there have been enormous numbers of gulls in the Bay and I think finding food is a problem. Whenever a gull finds something (whatever this is) it is mobbed by other gulls who attempt to steal it. In this case, the pandemonium was so great that the gull with the food (?) dropped it and no one got anything.
This mobbing was happening every few minutes. All but one gull gulls in this shot are still in juvenile plumage (less than 4 yrs old).

M97 the Owl Nebula, is a planetary nebula in the constellation of Ursa Major, The Great Bear.
Estimated to be about 8,000 years old it lies just over 2,000 light years away from us. It's given the monicker 'Owl Nebula' because of what looks to be a round face with two big eyes.
M108, also in Ursa Major, is much further away at approximately 46 million light years. This barred spiral galaxy gets the nickname 'Surfboard galaxy'. This edge on galaxy is thought to have a black hole at it's core 24 million times the mass of our Sun.
Both objects were first discovered by the French astronomer Pierre François André Méchain in 1781. Discovering M108 three days after M97.

The light was absolutely amazing yesterday. At one point, I was driving south around noon. The road was wet, the sun was reflecting off the road, but below the sun, the sky was completely black to the horizon. So all I could see was the blinding, silvery road, and black sky. Never seen anything like it.
This particular shot was taken a few minutes later, looking east.
We had the 2nd warmest November on record this year!
Sorry I've been MIA. Lost my internet connection for a couple of days. Had to wait for a techie to pay a visit.
Located 6,400 light years away in the constellation of Orion, the Monkey Head is an emission nebula and home to the open star cluster NGC 2175.
The nebula acts as a womb for new stars to be born. Those new stars then radiate such immense energy that blasts in to the surrounding gas and dust that makes up the nebula. This has the effect of not only clearing away the surrounding nebula from the newly born star but, causes the gas and dust in other areas to be pushed together. When enough of this material is pushed together it allows gravity to take hold and pull more and more of it in. When enough of it is pulled together there's a good chance another star will be born.

My old pedometer couldn't be revived, so before seeing the inside of the trash bin I pried it open and was quite amazed with the color, pattern and techie look to it. Photographing it with many different backgrounds it still looked flat with out any depth, so I turned over a collander, put a few colored tea lights underneath and it all came together.
HMM to all!

For once, I think hope’s still alive. With half of the team going off to Prague to find the missing sword. And you guessed it, I would be chased down by the others because of my fugitive status. We’ve been doing this for at least, 3 days and night now at least. I dunno, has it been that long? I hate keeping track.
I focus on the road while I’m on the bike. Might be floaty given current technology where everything flies, but it’s nevertheless a very hard drive considering the rain and wind, but I hope to make it through. Kieran absorbs the lamp energies and redirects it at the assassins behind, while Ty and Erin provide cover for me, Sam and Gary to handle. This one is called Diremorph. Lady with twin guns, cuz again, why not? But this time, it's me calling the shots by the adage talking and gunning.
Diremorph: “I also have my eyes on you, Dusksmoke. You’re valuable bounty here.”
Connor: “Let then go, Diremorph.”
Diremorph: “I’d ask my babies if they would like some fresh kills....hehe. It's very satisfying”
Connor: “The punishable dual guns....well, I'm sure there's more than just that..”
Diremorph: “I had the pleasure of infiltrating the Yakuza as the old man had told me to. Big reveal eh? I knew it always was. Now I have the head and his head on a clock. It’s ticking!”
Connor: “Don’t you dare. You know you can't. Very tempting, isn't it?"
Diremorph: “Oh please, spare me the talk. You know what I want—-and I will do what it takes to get it.”
Connor: “Just for the katana? Really? Never knew you valued money more than your tribe...your people would be disgusted by a invaluable bounty hunter.”
Diremorph: “Shut your trap, loudmouth. I do the terms. I'm in charge here. And you don’t get to talk about my f*cking culture.”
Connor: “If it bothers you so much, then why work for him in the first place?”
Diremorph: “Because I like it. Now, no more chitchat, or else I will kill him.”
Connor: “No worries. I’ll bring it. I’ll see you in an hour."
I take a heavy sigh before using my staff to trip the other bikes around me, knocking some drivers out of commission. I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of vehicles, but Jesse handles it too well. I couldn’t help but laugh through my mask—-tinkering with electronics was his greatest strength. Having a younger brother who’s a techie sure doesn’t disappoint the family.
Right now I was wishing we had a jet so we could reduce the amount of time, but there's only much you can do with hands on stuff. Then Diremorph called in again, saying she had planted bombs through the city. My instinct would tell me to divert my brother’s team to disassemble it, then meeting up again.
Khattar: “Dusksmoke, is it? I’m not sure if you can hear me, but after we got under attack, now we got bomb threats.”
Connor: “I know. How is my friend doing.”
Khattar: “Critical condition. She’s stable...but in a coma. I hope with the tech in Japan, they might be able to speed up her healing process.”
Kurt: “Dusksmoke, listen to me. I’m here trying to deduce the other locations, but you have to save the Yakuza leader. Do not dissuade him and his folks getting baited into another battle. I’ll join you in a bit. Dr Edens will keep monitoring the situation then.”
Connor: “Alright.”
We cut to the chase as Kurt does makes his word, gunning down a couple of ninjas with his jetpack. He seems to be astounded by the fact that we’re on rush hour as well, but it is what it is; the Yakuza leader. An important witness who has a major involvement.
Connor: “We have to stop Diremorph. She’s teleporting in and out too much.
Kurt: “Gotcha. Uncle Kurt’s got this covered.. If you need a boost, just use my atomic bombs. The speed ones I mean. And this tech I worked on, it makes illusions. Not sure if you had this in Tokyo like or the guild would use, but you need to make her believe what she has. I’ll take your brother and your future brother in las for a spin if he needs it.”
Connor: “What? He's dating and he didn't tell me?!”
Kurt: “Oh no, I’m kidding. There’s no engagement yet, haha. But yes, this is a bomb that's fast and slow. Please take care of the harness well, because you don't get to appreciate how well it comes once in a blue moon...”
**Yakuza headquarters, 1:34 A.M:**
We manage to get there in time according to Diremorph’s demands. She stands there with her guns over the beaten leader, and multiple dead bodies.
Connor: “I’m here, but you can just give it up already.”
Diremorph: “The sword, now.”
Connor: “Will you promise to let him go first?”
Diremorph: “No means no. I’m doing it my way.”
Connor: “Fine then.”
I decide to throw the sword at her which she moves out of the way. Her attempts to shoot the leader fails, thankfully due to Erin’s shadow powers, who extracts the leader to safety. Ty beams up with his energy while Kieran uses his light to shoot through the portals. After missing initially, it lands on a 6th one, which nearly knocks Diremorph out temporarily rendering her powers useless, but her guns are kinda strong for us. I take a closer look at Diremorph’s back, and she seems to have a chip attached to her.
Connor: “Guys, she’s under influence. The corruption is taking over.”
Erin: “Is this something I should hack?
Connor: “No, I don’t think so.”
Kieran: “Let’s ask the leader.”
Yakuza leader: “Me? I do not know you guys anyhow....she killed my men....I was too dumb to realize she infiltrated my gang. And your guild....tried to put the blame on me.”
Connor: “So this involved none of you? Even what I did back a year ago?”
Yakuza leader: “No, it isn’t....your guild was always misdirecting us, and we were blamed for it. They tricked us into starting a war, which I didn’t know we would lose...”
Connor: "Should have known better then. I'm gonna start keeping a closer eye on things."
I tilt my head, mentally thinking revelation another revelation. Which means....I’ve been lied to this entire time? But I guess my former does have his own secret cabal that follows him loyally. And Diremorph is one of them. I hate secrets, but this is the way of how it happens in societies. Humans can't ever live without secrets.
Ty: “You can’t be one of them, are you?” (He points his gun at Diremorph)
Diremorph: “It doesn’t matter. Whatever pleases the leader, I will follow his bidding.”
Erin: “What’s his plan, all along? What about the bombs?”
Diremorph: “You wouldn’t think I wanted to wipe out our enemies so my kingdom could rule as one, right? Maybe, except the emperor, but one day, he’ll follow us too.”
Kieran: “You’re out of your mind. Give it up.”
Diremorph: “Me? Never. Try this then.”
(Explosion sounds happen through everyone’s comms.)
Connor: “What did you just blow up?!”
Diremorph: “Oh, another compound. Don’t be too worried, I’ve still got more games even when you knock—“
Erin decides to use her powers, as her eyes turn into a really dark colour. Shadow tendrils start to latch on Diremorph, who doesn’t look surprised. She looks like she’s about execute her enemy with her dual axes. But she stops, as Diremorph stares into Erin's powers. After a while, she eventually gives up for interrogation, possibly from the shadow break. But even with her loyalty for Igarashi is undying, despite Ty removing the control chip from her.
Moments later Kieran takes the Yakuza leader into police custody, as our fight took place near the precinct. Agent Khattar keeps briefing us on what happens next. He already has his Interpol team and the police force surrounding the fortified guild base. It sounds like trouble when we’re going to return....and Oddcrow calls me...? He's s going headfirst into the fort himself, deciding to face my mentor alone.
I don’t know if it’s too late anymore. Is it, for literally everything?
**Prague, night. Time unknown:**
Sam: “How long is this going to take? I kinda regret going on this mission now.”
Lyra: “Yeah. Enemies behind. But I know we are medical examiners who can make quite the team. Time to lock and load those launch blasters, Riley!”
Riley: "You're speaking my language gal Here goes nothing!'
Harry: “Now would be a good time!”
Edens: “I’m going to keep you guys autopilot, since ours is destroyed. I can still remotely control it.”
Riley: “Good ole idea lads. Let’s destroy em!”
Wow. I, for once, am surprised that this mission is taking its ups and downs. When we actually just landed on a safe spot in Prague, then ran into the city trying to masquerade as doctors (both me and Lyra), while having the others acting like patients. did work—-just for once. Then shit when down as Riley tried to grab the sword, which culminated in us being chased by the suspicious locals who alerted the cops nearby. Thankfully we had a fake ambulance nearby to drive somewhere else. I'm not sure why we and how the sword was quite easy to find, but I guess it was Igarashi planting it there. The mystery deepens...somehow.
Wait. Keyword: plant. When I tried to call Avalon, it was up to my suspicions. Igarashi was trying to frame Connor....for everything? To take control of Tokyo?
I’m not sure if I’m going to say if it’s a half arsed plan, but once we’re going back....it’s literally a big battle.

Let me put it this way . . . making a photo ain't easy , making a snapshot is , not a photo
You have to calculate a lot of shit , Exposition , Aperture , ISO , and the rest of the Techie shit we all know and Love (or sometimes hate) then after all that shit , throw in a couple of lights , look for the right setting , recalculate ISO , Aperture , all of what you already did , and a lot of more stuff (no I am not Techie in anyway) and then go back to taking that photo , yeap that is Strobist Photography
Yeah that is how a Strobist does it , it ain't easy but boy is it sweet to read all of the comments and looking @ your creation and knowing that you did that , you actually made that happen , yeap that is something that I would not trade for anything , and Yes I carry all my shit in my Salma
So to twist this shit up , I ended up not using a single flash , yeap this is all natural light , it has been so long since I shot with natural light , hope you guys Like it , cheers
