I had a black tea bag sitting around not being used for anything, so I bleached a 5x7 cyanotype print of an old farm truck with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), then soaked the bleached print in strong black tea solution for 15 minutes. Yes, sodium carbonate (washing soda) is the "usual" bleach for cyanotypes, but I prefer to use baking soda because the bleaching action is slower.

Tea bag folding--papercraft also known as miniature kaleidoscopic oragami. The technique originated in Holland using tea bags or small pieces of paper to form a geometric design. This one uses eight identical squares of paper, 2 x 21/2 inches, refolded exactly the same way. They are then interlocked and the end result is a symmetrical rosette which can be used as an ornament, pin, or decoration. I added a metal button at the center.

The knife only came into view after it had been used to reflect light on the empty tea bag wrappers. I do not recommend using anything with sharp edges as a reflector. The reflector became part of a new image. One photograph was softly focused on the wrappers, one photograph was focused on the text on the knife and another photograph was taken to include the best back drop. Take three photographs and add them together including making a reflection of the wrappers on the blade. My tea was invigorating and my composite was inspiring. Now for the next Kitcphoto, that is a Kitchen based Photography Scenario and Setting.

Available Autumn light through one window not facing the Sun, one 30w constant light not for photography, one broad stainless steel knife, one serrated not so broad stainless steel knife, a cup, mainly the handle of the cup as a ceramic slip in no grip no clip rounded rectangle aperture, a board with signs of enjoyment and carved in smiles and a Google Pixel 6 Pro. The knifes were used as reflectors to bring both strong light and dark shadow.

One reviving drink brought about Kitcphoto the Kitchen based Photography Scenario and Setting that comes about even when outside of the Kitchen.
