My daughters believed that the tapioca is a kind of fish egg.... ahhhh!
They watched the comedy movie when they were kinder garden girls.
In the story woman pushed the fake fish's tummy and many eggs (real tapioca! ) came out and then she ate them!
They believed that for a looooong time. :-p

Bring milk, sugar and pistaccio paste to a boil, stirring constantly to dissolve.

I tried on a kimono I made for another doll! I will adjust the pattern a little. She has a very narrow chest!
Lovely blue shibori silk.

Known as bubble tea in the states, these drinks have tapioca pearls in them, very tasty, yet they come in really stupid cups, with these plastic lid things kind of like yogurt.
I got hooked on them in Petaluma, CA at Thang Long Vietnamese restaurant, and haven't been able to find it that good, there are bubble tea stores around here, in malls and such, and at the occasional southeast Asian restaurant.
You can get them at most malls and some restaurants. Pho Hoa in Bremerton has them, but not too good, I think they froze the tapioca, kind of fractured/freezerburned the pearls which are supposed to be smooth and fresh.
Eileen's Philipino in Port Orchard has them too, but no coffee flavor. (the other flavors are good, I like the regular tea flavor and coconut usually...that is, when I cant get coffee.)
