We live in a world where we are surrounded by objects that can dictate our unconsciousness to fuel economies in a capitalist society. We are directed towards consuming by the advertising jingles we hear and know without consciously being aware of them. These glittering shiny commodity objects are no longer associated with the labourer who made them.

Since 1997, Greenfleet has been connecting people with real climate action. Over 9 million trees have already been planted across Australia and New Zealand to restore hundreds of native forests like this one and capture millions of tonnes of carbon emissions. With decades of expertise in climate action and a strong focus on innovation, it’s no surprise that Greenfleet is the trusted carbon offset partner for thousands of organisations and individuals. Make a tangible and lasting impact on the environment: offset your carbon emissions with Greenfleet, help restore habitat for wildlife and protect our unique biodiversity. The Tangible Intangible Project was quite fast and frustrating. The subtractive process was a lot of fun but I think I got carried away; it is great art therapy. I have taken sculpture and make two wood sculptures but I think balsa wood is much harder because it breaks much easier and when the blocks of balsa sold out, having to glue together tiny pieces of balsa was very tedious and I had to wait longer to start carving. My sculpture is based off of the word cerebral and I researched the word cerebral and came up with different ideas but decided to merge a few of them. The sculpture is tall so I built a rectangular base and cut out the base of my sculpture to stick it together. The colors I am using are a black base to not take away anything from my sculpture and a blue grey, red, and orange. I can't wait to see how it is viewed.

Mason took this pic. She found this button a long time ago in one of my drawers. She wears it with pride on her jean jacket (along with concert buttons and pins). To her it's cool, to me it's nostalgic. This is the lone remaining tangible evidence that I was involved in student government in college.
