Lots of singers presented songs about roses. I chose for you a song by the late Saudi singer Talal Maddah.

Talal Maddah was born on the 5th of August, 1940. He was and is one of the best singers in Saudi Arabia if not the best.

Pig tails, squirrel tails, bird tails . . .

all tell a tale or two . . .

so I'll just say: BOO to YOU!

Nestled between Aberdeen’s glass giants, Provost Skene’s House is a beautifully preserved slice of the 16th century. Once the residence of Sir George Skene—merchant, civic leader, and all-round big deal of 1670s Aberdeen—this turreted treasure now celebrates the city’s legends in the arts, sciences, and beyond. With its harled walls and charming curves, it’s a defiant nod to the past in a city always looking forward.

Transdev Keighley have this Mercedes Sprinter with a Evobus 18 seat body on demonstration for recently "won" Wharfedale services around Otley & Ilkley. It has been in Scotland and South Wales of late but has sat in the depot at Keighley for some days prior to use which isn't always a good sign. Firstgroup had a similar vehicle for these services a while back which lasted around 6 months before it gave in to the torture. Here it is operating the late running 963 service from Otley to the local hospital although with no working destination display and a famous partly hidden white A4 sheet of paper on the dash reading 962 you wouldn't necessarily know. The colour of the vehicle is horrendous to photograph with so many reflections it is almost not worth the effort although there is a fleetname there somewhere..

On the way back from the lower Dartmeet river trail , I came across a sunlit tree and thought it would make a great tree silhouette with its size & shape, with that in mind, all I needed was a title...going by the light & shadow and somewhat a creepy feel I decided on its name, "Hence"....."A WINTER'S TALE". A BIG thanks for looking!!!

If our love was a fairy tale

I would charge in and rescue you

On a yacht baby we would sail

To an island where we’d say I do

And if we had babies they would look like you

It’d be so beautiful if that came true

You don’t even know how very special you are

You leave me breathless

Troll Tales - having a nice weekend

machine stitching in book with short stories by Edgar Allen Poe. The first story being "The Tell-Tale Heart"

The tale of two dragons. Single drop waterfalls can make poor compositions as you can end up with a slim streak of water surrounded by not very much

For national comparison sake I have put the Welsh (red dragon) highest waterfall against the highest English waterfall. Hardraw: on the right, is accessed through the Green Dragon Pub in the Yorkshire Dales. It being 18c-in February-was not the ideal conditions as it was very bright. As Robin Hood, Kevin Costner "bathed" in the pool. On the left we have Pistyll Rhaeadr. "Pistol Rider" does sound like a Bond Girl and I later found out that it may only be the third highest waterfall in Wales!!! But it does depend upon who you believe. Perhaps I should have entitled it Dragon P!

Let down your hair, so that I may climb the golden stair…

Today our fairy tale story continues above the Sintra Mountains, exploring the mesmerising castle of Pena National Palace.
