Bakklandet is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It lies in the borough of Østbyen on the east side of the Nidelva river between the Bakke Bridge (Bakke bru) and the Old Town Bridge (Gamle Bybro).
The neighborhood is dominated by small, wooden houses and narrow streets. It is among the major tourist attractions in the city.
In 1965, the road plan for Trondheim proposed that a large area in Bakklandet be demolished to make way for a four-lane motorway which would connect the road "Elgeseter gate" with the road "Innherredsveien". The plans were met by opposition from locals, and by the early 1980s the plan was shelved, even though the city's environmental council had approved depopulating the neighborhood in 1974.

My friends i come to the point that i realise i need a flickr break even if its only for some days
Flickr has become to me a great addiction and as i like to retribute to all of you, i arrive to a point that i spend almost all day in flickr commenting and not abble to go to all streams.
I think you know me already well for some time and know im a person that is not abble to make short comments or cliché ones (Maybe better to call them testemonials LOL).

I think Trondheim possibly has a few marinas dotted around - this area stretches a long way up the river. On the left is the SAS Radisson Royal Garden Hotel. I didn't see any garden there, let alone a royal one, unless they mean the conservatory-like area inside!

This is the very first butterfly shot I caught! I had to run after it, follow him everywhere and try to sneak up to him unknowingly. But it was all worth while, cause I finally caught it!! =)

This is the Sunrise in DongShan Island that I took finally!! It is about 5.30am in the morning.

My Late Dad's have 9 Children ( 4 sons, in our culture son's inherit the family name not the daughter's), So his last words or phrases are actually an honor as well as heavy shoulder to me!!
I spent the day in Crestone, Colorado enjoying the autumn colors, the mountain views, and the company of some wonderful denizens of Crestone.
i'll be "out of Afrika" for one month... be nice until i am coming back !!!
