Another blur effect done in Elements 15. I use a layer mask and with a Bamboo Tablet pen away the subject and or add blur back again. Tedious but somewhat fun.

These times seem unclear. Maybe this is an easy virus and future ones may be worse so I am thinking just get used to the safety we need to take.

The parish church of Katharinaberg high above the Schnals Valley (Val Senales / South Tyrol, North Italy).

Such a dramatic scene on our way to the Pfossen Valley, where we made a short-ish hiking tour - braving the rain - followed by a stop in one of the high alps for a snack (alp cheese, hmmm !!).

Photographed from the car ... a lucky shot with manual focus still adjusted and no second chance (as there were cars behind us on this small mountain pass without the possibility to stop for a longer time and to let them overtake us ;))

Not much luck with our hiking holidays this year - it's raining again :))

I will try to chatch up when I am back !!

Die Pfarrkirche von Katharinaberg hoch über dem Schnalstal (Südtirol)

Diese dramatische Szene zeigte sich uns auf dem Weg zum Pfossental, wo wir am Nachmittag - dem Dauerregen trotzend - eine kleine Tour mit anschließender Einkehr gemacht haben (Almkäse, lecker !!).

Fotografiert aus dem trockenen Auto ... ein Glückstreffer bei noch eingestelltem manuellen Fokus und keiner zweiten Chance (mit Autos hinter uns, die uns auf der schmalen Passtraße nicht überholen konnten ;))

Dass auf jedem Platz Tauben Bilder der Gelassenheit malen.

To-Do-Liste einer Taube:

Essen. Nickerchen. Neugier. Essen. Nickerchen. Neugier. ... wiederholen!

Und das inmitten des Trubels der Stadt.

Tauben beherrschen die hohe Kunst, den Schubladen des Lebens auszuweichen.

Denn in jeder Stadt finden Tauben einen Weg und erinnern uns daran, dasselbe zu tun.

As some of you might have noticed, I wasn't very active on Flickr the last few weeks except Crazy Tuesday ... very busy day job and decreasing energy and muse

So I am 'running away', heading for the mountains (my happy place), and taking a break for about a fortnight ... to recharge the batteries and clear my mind : ))

We will go to the Allgäu Alps this time, staying in Germany as we aren't fully vaccinated yet

You my friends are the best…I have enjoyed seeing and learning from your work nearly everyday for the past several months. With that in mind, it is time to focus my energies on the other fruits of my life…my family and work…this will be my last post for awhile, however I sure plan on watching from the sidelines.
