This is a wire that I dipped in Glycerin. The lighting is a single 2B-24 with a red and green gel each covering half of the flash. The flash is pointed at a white background so this is completely backlit. I think the two gels create a very pleasing gradient.

More of a 'styled arrangement' than a still life scene, today — with an oriental theme. Strangely, these more 2-dimensional arrangements are harder to get the composition right than the 3-dimensional full scenes — there's less freedom to place items relative to one another... The Coronilla glauca flowers were looking too good to not use them in a simple arrangement and nicely complemented the rest of the design theme.

These days are perfect to go through the harddisks and find some goodies - like this white campion (Silene latifolia)

I guess I haven't been around much. It took me two trips to Croatia to discover one of these cute little jugs in a restaurant in Stari Grad. It took me a while to figure it out, but I guess it's commonly known as a combo or dual vinegar and oil cruet. In this case olive oil. I now think I might need one.

I was going through last summer's trip to the Rockies and came across these unusual mountain tops In Kootenay National Park.
