Stayed in most of the day and decided to pull out the sb600. I vowed to do more remote flash work this winter. Might as well start now...

I had heard about a technique quite a while ago and I have been meaning to try it one day, it consists of taking an object, photographing it multiple times all around it and then blending the layers in varying opacity in photoshop.
This is my first attempt - 12 photos taken around this nice little pot of lavender, blended in PS. I've then added some textures to finish the look. The left-hand image is my base image or starting point as a comparison.
The technique can be used on outdoor objects as well like trees, statues, fountains, buildings etc, etc...

In an effort to bring in more pollinators to my vegetable garden, I've started trying to grow more flowers. I'm not nearly as successful with flowers as I am with veggies!
There's just something so warm and rich and inviting about stone walls, leatherbound books, pewter and honey-coloured wood. Last of my rather rustic mince pies - they taste better than they look!
Four tracks worth of container cars sit on the westside of the Los Angeles River awaiting an assignment - or the scrapper's torch. In the interim, they act as a canvas for local graffiti artists. A late inbound Orange County train heads towards LAUPT.
