I’ve seen this done before and thought I’d take a crack at it. I just couldn’t believe all the different results I came up with simply by changing the lighting. This shot was the best I thought, utilizing forward lighting and from underneath the orange.

Creative tabletop photography

In the background you are seeing the framed photo of my son and his wife and son that I'm giving them today when we go over. I printed it in BW and bought a nice silver frame. I hope they like it. It's the one I put on here..not the crooked one tho lol.

More of a 'styled arrangement' than a still life scene, today — with an oriental theme. Strangely, these more 2-dimensional arrangements are harder to get the composition right than the 3-dimensional full scenes — there's less freedom to place items relative to one another... The Coronilla glauca flowers were looking too good to not use them in a simple arrangement and nicely complemented the rest of the design theme.

My daughter occupied our tea table to draw her miniature Japanese paintings. I didn't mind taking some shots composing the tabletop materials. Just out of fun. This is one how it resulted. Hope you will enjoy.
