Unlike his cousins Fynn and Tofu, Filou doesn't climb on furniture very often. He mainly uses the sofa but occasionally likes to sit on the dining room table too as it offers a lovely view into the garden and is located near the backdoor, a fact which is important because Filou doesn't have a cat flap and always needs someone who opens that door for him.

#smileonsaturday #tabletopgamecomponents

When i read the theme for the next Smile on Saturday Challenge then instantly Memories of my childhood came up. I don`t know how many Hours my friends an me have spent playing this great Game called RISK ! The Game is well known around the world and gets played since over 60 Years by Generations. Back in 1957 it got created by Albert Lamorisse, a french filmmaker. I still own the Game and we play it from time to time when we celebate game nights. So i took the chance to shoot an image of my DE LUXE Version of the Game for the theme quite a while ago.

Risk is a strategy board game of diplomacy, conflict and conquest for two to six players. The standard version is played on a board depicting a political map of the world, divided into forty-two territories, which are grouped into six continents. Turns rotate among players who control armies of playing pieces with which they attempt to capture territories from other players, with results determined by dice rolls. Players may form and dissolve alliances during the course of the game. The goal of the game is to occupy every territory on the board and, in doing so, eliminate the other players. The game can be lengthy, requiring several hours to multiple days to finish. European versions are structured so that each player has a limited "secret mission" objective that shortens the game.

Ah! Snacks! That is something in my diet that I am trying to tackle! Since Lockdown my love of sweet, sugary snacks has blossomed, along with my waistline! So finding alternatives has become urgent, and surprisingly difficult! Sugar, salt and fat are everywhere. My latest find is these nuts and seeds together with nori seaweed and maple syrup. I am hoping for great results, as rice cakes do get boring after a while!

Kids in the house enjoyed this game !

Wie Is Het? "Who is it" game

I just bumped into this one, after it had been hanging around for awhile; I have no idea why I ignored it so long. As usual, my focus is on the curves, the colors, and the textures. I've been recalling admiring Brancusi's sculpture "Bird" one time; I think that wonderful set of curves burned something into my brain. Hopefully, my curves show a bit anyway of Brancusi's excellence.

A multi-image focus stack, this should reward pretty close examination.

For Macro Mondays #love theme

Represents that intense, all-encompassing love we feel for our children. (Most of the time!)

The image shows my youngest son's wrist identification band from when he was born in hospital. It's been hanging around the kitchen for ** years for some reason; I've never worked out why I haven't put it away safely. His birthday was two days ago, and meant that the year he was born we both ended up coming out of hospital on Valentine's day; the best valentine's present ever...! :-)

Image is less than 2.5" across, the wooden heart is around 1/3rd of inch.
