Unlike his cousins Fynn and Tofu, Filou doesn't climb on furniture very often. He mainly uses the sofa but occasionally likes to sit on the dining room table too as it offers a lovely view into the garden and is located near the backdoor, a fact which is important because Filou doesn't have a cat flap and always needs someone who opens that door for him.

For Smile on Saturday 'Tabletop Game Components' theme. Have a good weekend you wonderful folks out there.

Time for a festive break from Flickr

Wie Is Het? "Who is it" game

I just bumped into this one, after it had been hanging around for awhile; I have no idea why I ignored it so long. As usual, my focus is on the curves, the colors, and the textures. I've been recalling admiring Brancusi's sculpture "Bird" one time; I think that wonderful set of curves burned something into my brain. Hopefully, my curves show a bit anyway of Brancusi's excellence.

A multi-image focus stack, this should reward pretty close examination.

Passing the time during lockdown 2021

When I was a child in Hungary my sister and brother used to go to Rosehill (on the Buda side) and pick lilacs for our mother, since we did not have any money to buy cut flowers for her. I bought back a small tube of her ashes to my garden in Canada and buried it under my French hybrid lilac bush as a symbol of my respect and love for her memory.

Caressed by light.

Sometimes what's important to the photo is not what it is of but the way the light dances, caresses an interacts with the objects it touch. This can create an atmosphere and feeling all on it own.

For the record this is of the top of a ceramic candlestick but that's not important.

The wabi-sabi tulips just keep coming! Very similar to tulips 3 & 4, I like the flowing greens and the striking yellow blossom. Again, a multi-image focus stack, this should reward rather close examination.

Sometimes, all it takes is your smile

(even if forced) and a domino effect of smiles happen, infectious.
