Our view out over Loch Bracadale towards MacLeod's Tables on Skye with the Island of Oronsay in the foreground. MacLeod's Tables are the flat-topped basalt hills Healabhal Mhòr and Healabhal Bheag in the north part of the Island and this was our view from the cottage bedroom window.

I handpainted these numbers which have been cut out of MDF, they will be hung from ribbons on the back of a chair on each table at our wedding breakfast.
10$ flea market oak table, stripped, stained, red Mahogany and mosaic ,
My first mosaic project of substance.
May 2007, then I did no more until August!
I don't know if you can actually call it a desk since it's one half of a shelving unit meant for basement or garage storage. Wish I had something better and bigger. The majority of my stamps are stored in 3 3-drawer units under the desk, which means I have to get under the table when I need to find a stamp.
Well lately, I've been at home quite a lot. Usually only leaving to go to work. Everybody's back to university, school or their own jobs (CONGRATS to Hugh, back to work f/t)... so there's a lot of "waiting time". I haven't felt too inspired by home to take photographs. It's often quite expensive to travel to the city as it often entails transport and food costs. I don't know. Maybe I'm just making excuses. I'm hoping I find some day time work so I'm not stuck at home just eating my own body weight in chocolate and food.
I'm hoping that the next set of weeks look up (otherwise the next hundreds of days are going to pretty damn boring for you). ;)
I was having fun with the lighting at our table at Red Robin while waiting for our food to come in Madison, WI. Luckily it was all finger food as this silverware isn't the cleanest :)
I have always thought of Wedding Photography as the final frontier. I approach this new world with trepidation, and excitement.
While I cannot yet show you faces here, I wanted to share some recent sample images I shot.
A really meh table-scrap I made a few weeks ago! :/
As a lot of you really liked this I decided to explain why I disliked it.
-Its overtly complex and took almost 30 minutes to build.
-It looks like CRAP, in my opinion.
-I HATE HATE HATE MEH BUILDS!!!
At this table, we closed on our first house. There were many papers to sign but it wasn't too bad. Apparently our seller was pretty much insane. Oh well - our house now!
My wooden dining room table is old and the finish was nasty. Instead of buying a new one I decided to give it a new look instead! I sanded it down, painted it black, and am now base-painting the designs on it in white.
This will be a very colorful design when it is complete and the way it is going, it is going to take awhile to finish it. :)
