My Table at the Art and Espresso craft fair.
Blogged: theknicksofknacks.blogspot.com/2011/11/art-espresso.html
My First table top commissioned by Potbelly Sandwich shop is now installed in it's new home in Brooklyn!
A snapshot of café life: lively conversations, quiet moments with coffee, and the constant rhythm of people passing by. Each table tells its own story, blending into the hum of the day.
I was sticking together some of those "1x1 plate with side ring" pieces and it somehow morphed into a Roman-style table...
This is where I plan to take pictures in my homemade lightbox (big plastic box under table on the right) and package items sold from my Etsy shop.
I love all the colors in this corner, but I think the next step in this room is to add more art on the walls to make the whole room feel vibrant. And I need to add more things to this corner so it doesn't look so discombobulated. And actually put things on my cork boards!

This table came with the sewing machine when my Mom bought it. We found it in the craft room a few weeks ago and I finally found the legs this weekend. SO cool! I won't keep it on all the time, but it will be really nice when I quilt my Castle Peeps quilt!

This narra altar table is of a type seldom seen and is unusual because of its small size. The table stands on four Spanish feet supporting a platform, on which, extremely fine and delicate cabriole legs resting at the corners. The shoulder of each front leg is incised with an eared oval face with a shallow carved neck cloth running halfway down the leg that ends with a trifid foot.
An apron with a jig-sawed, curvilinear lower edge runs around all four sides of the mesa altar. A flat molding follows its outline of ogee curves and cusps that from lambrequins. A hole is drilled above each cusp, where the lambrequins join each other.
The upright frames of the carcass are decorated on the exposed sides with a reed molding on either side of a shallow concave surface. The single, wide drawer in front is framed with a concave molding all around and has a pair of wrought-iron handles attached to a ring and a boss. At the center of the drawer is an incised carving of a double-headed eagle, the symbol of the Augustinian Order that administered the Ilocos Region during the Spanish Period.
The table top consists of a floating narra panel with a lap jointed, instead of a mortise and tenon jointed, frame. This type of construction shows that the piece was made by a craftsman who practiced his trade away from the urban centers.

As I drove Xy to the airport, she caught sight of some patio furniture for sale at the Original Jefferson Flea Market on Airline Drive and begged me to stop on my way back and take a look. So I did, and ended up buying this mismatched "set" of a table and three chairs. Not in real great shape. I paid $100, probably should have offered less.

For my birthday, I decided to make a dessert table, reminiscent of an English tea party. Artwork also by me ;-)

The POW/MIA Table
You may notice this small table here in a place of honor. It is set for one.
This table is our way of symbolizing that members of our profession of arms
are missing from our midst. They are commonly call POW's or MIA's…we
call them brothers.
They are unable to be with us this evening and so we remember them.
This table set for one is small... it symbolizes the frailty of one prisoner
against his oppressors.
The table cloth is white... it symbolizes the purity of their intentions to
respond to their country's call to arms.
The single rose displayed in a vase reminds us of the families and loved ones
of our comrades in arms who keep faith awaiting their return.
The red ribbon tied so prominently on the vase is reminiscent of the red
ribbon worn on the lapel and breasts of thousands who bear witness to their
unyielding determination to demand a proper accounting for our missing.
A slice of lemon is on the bread plate... to remind us of their bitter fate.
There is salt upon the bread plate... symbolic of the family's tears as they
wait.
The glass is inverted... they cannot toast with us tonight.
The chair is empty... they are not here.
Remember... all of you who served with them and called them comrades, who
depended on their might and aid, and relied on them... for surely... they have
not forsaken you.
Making a gear set for a wind up/down router and table. Made out of a broken flatpanel LCD screen. The plastic is the main light guide, which was used to scatter light from the 4 fluorescent cold cathode 3mm diameter tubes.

This is the way to go in marking out pieces for cutting, print the cad drawing onto paper and stick it on to the work-piece. I used double sided tape.
