the exhibition of the french designer and engineer jean prouvé in design museum in london was full of my favourite shapes and colors and shadows.

I just finished making this adorable Christmas gingerbread Table Runner.

It took me almost a month to complete them. For the bench, I only used a piece of pallet wood for each bench and I made the table from a piece of small pallet which I get from the industry areas. Most of the pallet came from Europe. For the painting I just used a clear exterior wood shield.

My dining table chairs are becoming rather battered and will be retired in due course. You may also notice an irregularity in the floor. The tiles were poorly laid and are beginning to lift and crack. They will all need to be replaced, which will be a big job requiring me to move out of my house. I will just have to live with this for now.
This is a glass chess table of a friend of mine. Everytime I looked at it I thought I needed to take some shots. One day we were hanging out in his house then I decided to go for it. Very happy with the results.
I'll post some others later on, along with the light set up.

I'll admit that the weather little to do (it was drizzling) with the cheery mood I was in during this lunch. It was likely the clean modern dining room and the delightful yellow daisies peppered throughout the dining room that lead to such sunny, peaceful feelings.

This side table and shelf is made from reclaimed farm steel and reclaimed wood. It is handmade in Pennsylvania by Ben Gatski. Each piece of steel was hand cut and welded together. The base of the shelf is a wooden plank rescued from an old barn.
