Of course, even in a small Italian town like Vernazza soccer can not be missed out. I wasn't surprised to find a table soccer game in the middle of the central place :-)

A very good supper. It was Mary's turn for supper and she always turns out delicious and highly photogenic meals.

Not just a table, but the kitchen table I grew up at. I ate my breakfast off it for years and there are still fossilised cocoa pops embedded in its cracks.

When my parents divorced, they fought over it (I later discovered) and my Mother won, but over the years the family grew more and it became too small for seven children and the dog chewed the legs and it was Endangered.

When a new table was acquired, I insisted it was not junked, and it has lived in a shed in South London for the past decade, with woodworm and spiders and the occasional dart. Now it has come North and is mine and I shall work at it and it will become the centre of something again.

Yes! UPS or whoever left me a present from Tree Frog Furniture and it's auteur, Brad Ferguson! What a treat! First time anyone has gifted me furniture!

If you ever wonder why the head and necks of Trumpeter Swans are dark instead of pure white, this is the reason. They often feed sub-surface on vegetation which is often in mucky areas. They were feeding like crazy in this spot with one swan near by on watch, while these four were feeding. There were two adults and their 3 cygnets. They originally had five, but two of them must not have made it. These were on our little lake.

One of the newest TILE classrooms at the University of Iowa, this room features five tables, each sitting nine students. Each table includes three laptops, each of which can be projected on the screen adjacent to the table or to all the screens in the room. The tables also feature microphones so that students can share their work with the entire class.

This is the 1st time I have made anything out of recycled pallets. It took me one day to make this coffee table from scratch.

Dear Ryan,

Happy belated birthday-hope you got the text I sent. We had an inch of snow for your birthday. It looked more like Jan than April! Your mom sent me a link of the pix of the sunny yellow table. I am SO PLEASED you put it in the kitchen. I had hoped you would-it needed a kitchen of its era. I always loved it, but did not have a good spot for it. I remember having pancakes at that table. Grandpa would make them each Sunday, his only time in the kitchen. I sat a the step stool at the table. It went to the shop and it is the one you sat on to watch Grandpa in the shop. Grandpa and Grandma would be so pleased (and amused) that you are using it. Fun to think Max is eating at the same table his Grandma did at his age. Hope spring has sprung your way.

Much love,

Auntie Dee
