This was actually part of the Thanksgiving table setting, as there was a card table set up to the left and son Tony and family brought another small table so we could get all 12 seated in my small living and dining room.
I had put the fan toy the cats don't like on the table set to on so the little paper butterflies spun around and they didn't make any move to get on the table -- worked like a charm! LOL!

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN -This little coffee table is super-cute. Hailing from the late 50s or 60s, the tapered wood legs are topped with pink laminate which has thin lines delineating a diamond pattern. The original bubble-gum pink has been faded by sun exposure to a pale, understated color.
Five years ago, on a work-trip to Boulder, CO, I decided to turn off my rental car's GPS and Just Drive, and I found this pair of parabolic dish antennae just outside of Longmont.
This time around, I was able to find them again with the help of Bryce Bradford (www.flickr.com/photos/brb_photography/)
We decided to hike table mountain, it started out a very hot day, after making it to the first split in the path up the mountain, we took the wrong turn, and ended up walking along the mountain as opposed to up it (we were given the wrong instructions) so after a long tedious walk along and down the mountain, we had to get the cable car up to the top to get the view we were looking for.
I hate to write generic descriptions for multiple photographs i'm posting but having the ability to upload is very rare here in South Africa, so apologies for the lack of interesting descriptions for each photograph.
These are some of the photos from along the way.
This table is made in an edition of 50 by The Gallery of wonderful.
Measuring 200x90x76 its made from Chestnut, the same wood used for school desks back in the 1950's. In homage to the school desk, you will find a vast storage compartment hidden in the middle of the table, which is accessed by removing the two hand-cast stainless steel ink wells on the top. The table is sealed and matt varnished for protection.
Other tables have been designed by Martin Rowson, Gary Taxali and Keaton Henson. They will set you back £7250
Halloween themed table lamp.
I used a simpe (non LEGO) table lamp with a simple socket and a switch and surrounded it completely with LEGO.
There's a black cat, a pumpkin, a (rainbow) ghost and a vampire castle.
It's built in a modular way, so that each side panel can be easily removed and replaced by any other motif when it's not Halloween any more.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN--This is a lovely dining table in the vintage industrial style. An accordion-type metal piece unfolds to support the metal table-top. 135cm long, 89cm wide, 74cm tall.
This small side table was designed to fit into a small space at the end or arm of a sofa. This is why it is quite small for its small footprint. The splay on the legs helps with stability. The legs are wedged into rails which run in tapered slidind dovetail slots in the underneath of the tabletop. This locks the legs in, keeps the top flat and also allows it to be relatively easily flat packed. The legs are planned octagonal so it can be made without a lathe.
This is the second year I have checked these out! We went to the fair on the second day and they had the room locked as they were getting ready for a pageant competition. We were lucky; they let us sneak in to check out these table settings. I posted some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy!
Which one is your favorite? The camping theme won first and the pink bunny theme won second. I especially loved the cloud centerpiece!!!!
