AAW May 15 - 22: Black and White Shadows
WIT: I was at a restaurant during a rain storm, but the sun shone through the window and curtain for about 5 seconds before disappearing behind the clouds again, so I only had a chance at one shot when I saw the shadows thrown across the floor.
BW conversion was in-camera, and in post just cropped and slightly upped the contrast.

Noritake pattern Floral Bay gifted as a wedding present. Originally only used for the Christmas table. Whilst taking these photographs for the theme I was reminded of my single life where my best friend would laugh, as I set the table and cooked a steak, made fresh salad and poured a glass of wine for myself at least once a week. "Why do you do that" she would ask, "I couldn't be bothered if I was single" It became known as my 'Table for One, dinner A must have treat for those who flew solo for such a long time. I still like to set the table and we now use the Noritake every day.
"The photographer sees the world as a child sees the bits of glass in a kaleidoscope. With a camera they can secure these ever-changing combinations, which then can be looked at again and again."
~ Wynn Bullock
Thai food from the Sunset takeaway, in the nearby village of Morar (other outlets are available). This was the first week we've had here in the last 8 years that it was warm enough to eat outside in an evening.

Pearl and Sundae are buddies and often find ways of teaming up to enjoy a window, the couch, the infrared light or the dining table.

Can robins read?
He was inside the restaurant earlier sitting on the table of a couple having their lunch, almost eating off the plates, it seemed.
He made only a fleeting visit to have a look in the window at us from the outside terrace, just long enough for a grab shot through the glass.

“It means,” said Aslan, “that though the Witch knew the Deep Magic, there is a magic deeper still which she did not know. Her knowledge goes back only to the dawn of time. But if she could have looked a little further back, into the stillness and the darkness before Time dawned, she would have read there a different incantation. She would have known that when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor’s stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backward.

On Ben Lomond (Tasmania) the ancient world of nature can so easily collide with the worlds we come to know through fantasy literature.
