Mornings at Niagara Falls are wonderful—beautiful sights without the crowds.

We weren't sure just what sort of waterfall we would find given the dry summer but were pleased to discover this little flow.

I imagine that this cascade can be quite spectacular when the water is flowing fast and hard....

Table Falls is located about 1.5 miles off of Quehanna Highway along Red Run Road (Make sure you take Red Run Road and not Forest Road which veers off near the start of the road you want) in the Quehanna Wild Area of Elk County, PA.

Can robins read?

He was inside the restaurant earlier sitting on the table of a couple having their lunch, almost eating off the plates, it seemed.

He made only a fleeting visit to have a look in the window at us from the outside terrace, just long enough for a grab shot through the glass.

“It means,” said Aslan, “that though the Witch knew the Deep Magic, there is a magic deeper still which she did not know. Her knowledge goes back only to the dawn of time. But if she could have looked a little further back, into the stillness and the darkness before Time dawned, she would have read there a different incantation. She would have known that when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor’s stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backward.

This pair of picnic tables beneath the shade of a tree afford vistors a nice view of Lake Argyle looking down the lake towards the dam. I would imagine, however, that people need to be careful not to trip on the exposed roots of the tree.

Well a patio table with pools of water - rain water all over it and halfway through taking a few shot the mottled old leaf just dropped onto the table ! Therefore I kept it in exactly where it landed seeing as providence had provided an extra prop for the shot .

This is of course my shot for SSC 27/07/2024 -- clear liquid .

A simple shot with no rambling write up this week , so straight into the Sight & Sound --

A tenuous link 'cos I like it and it takes me back straight to the early 1970s ( probably late 1972 )- or was it earlier and the Pilgrimage tour before this track , twas a long time ago !!
