Noritake pattern Floral Bay gifted as a wedding present. Originally only used for the Christmas table. Whilst taking these photographs for the theme I was reminded of my single life where my best friend would laugh, as I set the table and cooked a steak, made fresh salad and poured a glass of wine for myself at least once a week. "Why do you do that" she would ask, "I couldn't be bothered if I was single" It became known as my 'Table for One, dinner A must have treat for those who flew solo for such a long time. I still like to set the table and we now use the Noritake every day.

Pearl and Sundae are buddies and often find ways of teaming up to enjoy a window, the couch, the infrared light or the dining table.
Just a few things on the entry table for Christmas/Winter decor, the basket with greenery and berries tipped in snow, pine cones, winter bird and a book.

Can robins read?
He was inside the restaurant earlier sitting on the table of a couple having their lunch, almost eating off the plates, it seemed.
He made only a fleeting visit to have a look in the window at us from the outside terrace, just long enough for a grab shot through the glass.

This pair of picnic tables beneath the shade of a tree afford vistors a nice view of Lake Argyle looking down the lake towards the dam. I would imagine, however, that people need to be careful not to trip on the exposed roots of the tree.

“It means,” said Aslan, “that though the Witch knew the Deep Magic, there is a magic deeper still which she did not know. Her knowledge goes back only to the dawn of time. But if she could have looked a little further back, into the stillness and the darkness before Time dawned, she would have read there a different incantation. She would have known that when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor’s stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backward.

On Ben Lomond (Tasmania) the ancient world of nature can so easily collide with the worlds we come to know through fantasy literature.
The dining table in my father's house, all silent now.
Decades ago, it was in use every evening with Dad sitting at the far end, Mum beside him on his left. That's my chair in the foreground. My two elder sisters would take the seats on the other side, out of the picture on the left.

This very tiny spider wouldn’t leave me alone. It kept jumping on to my hands as I was sitting at the table. It finally jumped down onto my shorts where it just stood there and let me photograph it. Super friendly! Just to get an idea of how small, I can barely make out the lines of the fabric you can see in the photo. Common Hentz Jumper.
