A very popular sport among dogs in Athens: synchronized sleeping.

Just launched and the hoods are still up, though the lead Merganser has started pulling his hood back. Only one of a dozen panned shots that worked.

While you can easily see the handiwork of beavers at Ridgefield I've only seen beavers themselves a few times. I was lucky enough on Mother's Day in 2006 to come across an adult preening in the early morning light, but it got even better when a young beaver swam up and began preening beside what I presume is one of its parents.

My first attempt at tilt shift. Please give me any tips to improve in the future!!

Two crows out for a stroll both decided to blink when I took their photo... no flash used.... think they're shy?

It could be my imagination, but pairs of King Penguins often seemed to walk side by side and do 'the mirror', matching each other's behaviors and postures. These are subadult birds, so not courting per se, but they might be practicing.

I couldn't believe this when I saw it....in complete sync.....
