John DeLorean’s self-named sports car was the talk of the auto world long before it ever hit the streets. There was talk in the mid 1970s of his radical coupe with an unpainted, stainless steel body with exotic gull-wing doors. Mr. DeLorean was already himself an auto industry legend for designing one of the most definitive muscle cars, the Pontiac GTO. He was also known for his fast rise through the ranks at General Motors, where he gained a reputation as a rebellious visionary. He quit GM in 1973 and later formed the DeLorean Motor Company (DMC). The production version of his car debuted in 1981. By 1983 financial difficulties had doomed the company and it closed down before building fewer than 10,000 cars.

The exciting history of the man and the company aside, the cars is actually quite novel, both then and now. Standard features include electric windows and mirrors, air-conditioning, Craig stereo, central-locking and leather seats. The DMC-12 was built on a Lotus designed chassis, which consists of a central box-section backbone, and “Y” shaped sub-frames. The car’s body is constructed of glass-reinforced plastic, with Brushed Grade 304 stainless-steel panels attached. The panels are easily removed to repair any small dents and any minor scratches can be removed with light sanding.

SCEDT26T4BD006715: This beautifully preserved DeLorean has enjoyed sympathetic care and maintenance while in the hands of its sole caretaker since new. Remarkably, the odometer only shows slightly over 11,000 miles; which is easily attested to upon viewing the gray leather interior, which in excellent overall condition and shows virtually no wear. The engine bay also appears in equally impressive condition. The vehicle is accompanied by a large file of workshop manuals, servicing records, award, DeLorean advertising, California blue plates, and more!

The previous owner, a private collector, always routinely serviced the car as necessary. Upon close inspection one can see that this is undoubtedly one of the finest low mileage DMC-12s around. There are very few original examples in existence displaying such honesty and care in its ownership and maintenance from new.

These Leafy Seadragon's were amazingly adept at maneuvering in the water. They are so graceful and beautiful. Definitely no flash allowed - they are quite sensitive to light.

We're practicing for the next Olympics.

Meaghan arrives in NYC tomorrow and will be spending the week here! I'm excited.

I headed over to Divaz this 4th July 'cause I heard the "orange man" was back! DJxHalloween Boa was spinning at Divaz Lounge! OMG! He has been gone from SL for a few months & he was sorely missed by his fans. So many old friends were there including Anoushca from Erotic City.

Digital Nation was there too with their DJ's such as Digital, Nooky, Goodes, Joachimmsz & others. And of course, Hallow's partner at Divaz, Jasminx was partying there, too!

I jumped on the lime jelly with the gang & started reminiscing about how many hours I had danced on those silly synched pose balls in the past. LOL!

Jas had told us that there were avis with the name Halloween who were trying to confuse the public.

Just remember people... there is only ONE DJxHalloween Boa! Look for the signature orange hair, orange clogs and a killer wicked spin to any genre he plays! Welcome back Hallow!
