Ducks are enjoing the beautiful new water feature between the Swamp Rabbit bicycle trail and the huge new Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Greenville. It's a dry streambed that was flooded by recent rainfall.

The flock of 18 ducks tried to swim away from me. I rode my bike around to the other side of the creek and they reversed course again. As I continued to follow them, they were finally spooked and flew away in a noisy flurry of flapping winds.

As many of you probably know from my previous ranting,... I LOVE watching the formations of 2 or more birds in flight. Even in large groups they can seem so synchronized. Cool stuff!
