At high tide, this swing would be over or very close to the waterline. It's always a great sight to see along the coastlines.

Overlooked by Ben Nevis, at the bottom of Neptune's Staircase, is the Banavie Swing Bridge. It carries the A830 across the Caledonian canal at the bottom of Neptues staircase a staircase lock comprising eight locks built by Thomas Telford between 1803 and 1822, it is the longest staircase lock in Britain. The system was originally hand-powered but has been converted to hydraulic operation.
