These are embroidered buttons I made for a swap at Feeling Stitchy. They are super easy to make! I went with a Spring theme because I am ready for Spring!!

I'd always wanted to make pillowcases but they were one of those things I'd get to "some day". Big thanks to my swap partner for requesting pillowcases and giving me incentive to make some NOW. They were SO much fun!!!

I did a lot more pinning and ironing of these than I usually do and as a result they came out more crisp than my sewing usually does. I'm really kind of proud of them. Especially how nice they feel because the main fabric is Cotton Couture (Wedgewood Blue). I hope you like them partner!

I'm so sorry partner -- somehow I got mixed up on the due date and thought that today was the day to mail -- not Tuesday last. At least I did finish by the day that I thought I needed to finish. And I will get the pouch on its way to you by the end of the day today (have to wait for my husband to get home with the car so that I can get to the post office). I hope you love it enough that you don't mind the bit of extra wait!

This is what I created for my partner for the 100,000th Swap =D Since she likes to read I've cross stitched a bookmark for her and I'm really happy about how it turned out.

Rachel even posted a pic of it on her blog blog.swap-bot.com/2011/11/08/100000th-swap-amazing/ =D

swap meet 2014- Seen at the Americane swap meet in the parking lot at the Rochester hills,Mi park.

That sounds a bit silly somehow. Poholders are usually such a silly thing. But I think you'll agree with me that they deserve the title! Thank you so much Amy! Not only did you orgainze a super-fun swap but you made me something so very very "me" and special that I'm just about to die over it!

I can't believe that I've not ranted more about dollhouses over here for you to know how much I love them! I've been known to drive WAY out of my way on vacation just because I heard about a special one which is kind of en route.

My kitchen walls are a total total mess so they're just propped against the toaster oven where I can admire them for now but I think you can see how they're already brightening things up but still matching the things that are there. They're even making my worn-slick blue formica look nicer!

Made for a swap :)

eeep! swap received from kari for my purin chan box~ yayyy i loveeeeeeee <333

Échantillon des cadeaux reçus pendant le swap sur Materiel Celeste.

It's a very small collage on canvas, for the brown and aqua swap.

I received these lovely items from a swap with @goche moche! I'm in love with the colors, shapes, and patterns of the tiny clothes. I'm especially happy because I don't have many separates in my doll wardrobe, nor long dresses (which will look awesome with this pinafore/apron I have). Gochemoche also included a handmade kanzashi flower hair clip, cute polka dotted socks, and some adorable miniatures :3

For Heather's Speckled Egg Halloween Hat swap. I sewed this hat by hand, and decorated it with net, lace, ribbon and one of the big bottle cap cats I've been working on. I have a new appreciation for the millinery arts -- it's very fine hand-work, for sure.

There are two sparkly felt roses at each side of the bottlecap decoration -- I am not sure how well you can see those in this picture. I am just really pleased with how this came out, and hope my partner likes it! She sent me a tremendous, wearable hat! You can see it here:

BTW, that paper in the background is some of the beautiful flocked spiderweb paper I bought while I was in California. After I left I was kind of sad I hadn't bought more, then over the weekend I found two more sheets at our local Ben Franklin craft store!

6" hexie with color wheel added around it. Backed with lime green swirls. Some hand quilting, some machine quilting, echoing the original hexie.

Fun swap with Jen (scissorspaperglue). We traded 3+ items, then made something for each other, then returned the made item. Jen sent this sweet ballerina pic, the green fabric, and lots of fun beads, sequins, and Paris-themed stamps. I had loads of fun making her this fabric book. I used a Cliff's Notes softcover book as the base, and machine stiched the cover right onto it. The background is script fabric, with a layer of tulle, and hand-sewn sweet pale green sequins.

Swap-bot black and white swap, going out in the mail as soon as I can find a big envelope to put it all in. All this, and a few other little items.

Hello pillow partner, nice to meet you and in advance a great big thank you to you for making a pillow especially for me that I just love to bits.

It was hard to make a mosaic that wasn't 100 x 100 squares as there is so much wonderful work out there to inspire. I think my trimmed down mosaic sums up where I'm at the the moment though and I hope it helps.

You're welcome to drop by my blog www.acardaday.wordpress.com as that may help too.

Anyhoo, happy pillow swapping.

A fantastic swap from Leslie of Good-ness (http://goodness.typepad.com/goodness/)

The station sign says Coaler right in front of the TP&W GP20. Back in the era of steam locomotives, a coal chute and facilities stood here, a few miles south of Wateska, IL, to service the locomotives of the Chicago & Eastern Illinois. The sign had an alternative meeting on 8-7-1991 as the TP&W and CSX exchanged coal loads for empties. The CSX power set led by B23-7 5506 is heading south through the hand-thrown crossovers with empty hoppers as the TP&W set of GP20s is coupled onto the set of coal loads. After the empties clear, the TP&W will head back north to Wateska and get back onto their own line to head west for Peoria. These coal trains served the CILCO electric plant on the southwest side of Peoria. The C&NW poached these trains from the TP&W a few years later, as the coal came north from southern Indiana all the way into Chicago and then ran west to Nelson and south to Peoria, IL.
