..."Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making?
You, it's you and me.
And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
With no problems"...

WSOR trains L599 (Horicon to Ackerville and back) & L249 (Milwaukee to Ackerville and back) are swapping cars at Ackerville. The snow is gone, but temps are back down to 3 degrees with a very stiff wind.
A little top I made for the Easter meet swap. Kyle got it! It was gonna be a dress but I thought the volume was too odd so I chopped it off.
Look at this gorgeous fairytale themed swap! Everything is kawaii fairytale, even the little eraser and pencil! Thank you so much, Linda, especially for the Wolf tofu! It matches my darling Red Riding Hood one from Darlene =) And the Alice in Wonderland memo has been on my wishlist for a while, I'm happy to finally have it!
Que contenta estoy, ella y su mami han puesto todo el interés del mundo para que me gustase todo, y lo han conseguido por lo que se lo agradezco con mil besos a las dos¡¡¡¡¡

An apron I made from a pattern in my new book "A is for Apron" - the Fruit Tart. I love this book! I did some hand embroidery on the waistband. There is another photo that shows a close-up of the embroidery.

I am not an expert at embroidery, but I am pleased with the few stitches I can do. My favorite is the French Knot! This apron is for my swap partner in the Sassy Apron Swap I participated in.
Child or bento-sized hashi. Bullet train, Crayon Shin-Chan, Bear. The bear one is sort of a strange neon-y pink. Cash value $1 US apiece; I took off the price tags to show the design.

Swap with my dear friend Sandy:
We traded papers and clippings for collaging.
This is what I made of her stuff.
dear partner:
i am a HUGE dork and left your lovely card at home so had to use a post office label to let you know who was sending. anyhow... the idea behind the quilt comes from my favorite childrens book the Boxcar Children. i **ADORED** this book as a child(and as an adult)! the children in the story go scavenging at a dump to find utensils, cups, plates, etc and then put all of it up on a little shelf in the boxcar. here is my rendition... nothing is chipped per say but there is lots of wonkiness and NON-matchy stuff here. this is by far my most favorite thing i have ever made (besides the two moosentwits). i hope you love it as much as i did making it. happy cooking!
*** a lot of the paper pieced patterns come from: cups and saucers
Dear all,
I've been wanting to do a film swap for ages now but haven't gotten around to it yet. I think now is as good a time as ever to finally start - but of course I need people who are willing to collaborate on this.
It doesn't matter what camera you use or for how long you have been shooting film. It also doesn't matter to me where you are from; I'm up to national as well as international collaborations.
So, I would be happy to hear from you. If you're interested, just drop me a line in the comments or via Flickrmail, and then we can discuss the specifics.
Hope to see you soon! :)
P.S.: In case you're wondering what the hell I'm talking about or you're not sure how a film swap works, there is a fine and short introduction (and a video instruction) HERE.
partner, I started the first side of your pouch and wanted to get some feedback before I do the other side. Is this something you like? Too gray? I'm thinking of adding some decorative stitching. And the back will be more colorful.
My fabulous package from Jen in the Vintage Button Swap! Gorgeous red, black and white buttons, a pile of fabulous fabric scraps, two embroidered linen teatowels, a pile of paper ephemera, and a kitschy craft book! More descriptions on my blog: paper.string.cloth
