This is Darnell “Mic Magnet” Brown - a man who didn’t choose the stage life; the stage life tripped over him and handed him a mic.
His big break came when he was mistaken for the opening act while telling the DJ his car lights were on. One rhyme about “Toyota Corolla swagger” later, and the crowd demanded an album.
Darnell says every show is “80% passion, 20% remembering where I left my drink.” His secret move? Pointing at random people mid-verse so they feel part of the song; even if he’s just rapping about laundry.

The latest and greatest edition to my Swagger cross stitch series! I love the sultry, witchy spin Stevie Nicks puts to daily affirmations. This rockin’ piece is stitched in 9 different colors of floss on 28 count linen. I used a satin gold-colored floss for the lyrics. It’s hard to tell from my pics but that satin floss lends a subtle sheen to the words. The lyrics are framed in vines and flowers reminiscent of poppies and the whole piece is in 5x7 frame in a burnished copper color.

Not a word used to describe women walking really - swaggering? However, this girl at Caerphilly was rocking the look whilst listening to her tunes (or a podcast?) in June 2018.
Our youngest loves dogs like no other, so you can see how she couldn't contain her happiness as we walked home from last year's Pooch Parade.

SET 2 – Horn Lake Target, Post-Remodel
As we prepare to round the back right corner, here’s an overview look at the menswear department – I guess it’s kinda interesting how this department has kept the terminology “menswear” instead of switching to something like just “men’s.” The shoe department, which used to be centralized, was split up into all of the individual gendered apparel areas, so there’s actually more than one shoe section and accompanying “shoes” sign in the store these days.

Taken the night before Kellie left for Girl's Camp at the Shalom Campground. We barely survived the week without her. Upon returning Saturday morning, she immediately headed to the shower.
