There's a video in the gallery that shows the artists process - a gel substance is poured over a subject - they insert a straw so that the person can breathe. When the substance dries it is carefully removed and creates a mold of the subject. The mold is then filled with plaster creating the sculpture which is then painted and sometimes embellished - women wear jewelry, some have tattoos or hold objects.

She swaggered into the bar like a woman who knew what's what. She wasn't the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen, but she was far prettier than whoever was in second place. Her eyes were as black as the Sultan's sapphires. A man could fall a long ways into those peepers. She shook a cigarette from a small silver case and placed it between a pair of sumptuous red lips. I struck a match and was blinded by a simple twist of fate. Like Yogi said, "when you come to a fork in the road. Take it."
