Fine art photographer, patriot and pet-lover, Stacey P. Morgan, www.stayMor.com, will launch a series of “PAWtriotic” greeting cards and a 2012 calendar on the 10th Anniversary of the 9-11 tragedy. The cards feature Ms. Morgan’s 10-year-old dog, Delta, photographed saluting the American Flag at various historical locations. A portion of the proceeds will benefit America’s VetDogs, www.VetDogs.org, a national non-profit that trains and partners assistance dogs to veterans with disabilities and active service members free of charge. www.2DOGstore.com will be selling the cards and calendar starting 9-11 of 2011.

The 2012 Father Daughter Dance was a "Knight to Remember" thanks to Chevrolet of Fairbanks, Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, TriWest Healthcare Alliance and the many other sponsors who made this event possible. Thanks to our volunteer committee for investing hundreds of hours into this event celebrating and strengthening the Father-Daughter bond!
4th Annual Mother Son Adventure on July 21, 2012 at Cottonwood Park on Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER). The theme was "Angry Birds in the Park" and despite the rain it was quite party! For the second year in a row we were visited by a small black bear, and a momma moose brought her son by too!
🍪 Baking Up Community Spirit for Our Deployed Heroes! 🍪
The Delaware National Guard teamed up with Odessa High School’s DE Culinary Arts students to bake over 600 cookies with a special mission in mind: spreading holiday cheer to service members deployed far from home.
These delicious cookies will be packaged and sent to military members spending the holidays away from their families, reminding them that they’re loved and appreciated back here at home.
Our Army Chief of Staff Col. Jeff Stowell, Command Sgt. Maj. Mike Fields, and 166th Airlift Wing Command Chief Master Sgt. Chena Williams were honored to "supervise" the bakers and serve as official "taste testers," along with local community leaders.
This incredible partnership showcases the best of community teamwork and holiday giving. Great job, OHS Culinary Arts Program — and thank you for helping us support our deployed heroes! 🎄💌

I beseech every soldier to consider the brave and courageous example of First Lt. Ehren Watada who has refused deployment to Iraq on the basis that the occupation is illegal and immoral.

This mouse entered someone's property. It looked for and found food to steal. Then...it got bogged down in a trap, from which it could not escape. Had it not entered someone's property, it would never have ended up drowned in a bucked of cold water. That is your lesson.

We couldn't see the name on the photograph, it was washed out by the sun.
It was either
Thomas P Simchock, PFC, US Army
or
Robert F Scherdin, SSGT, US Army
Since we could not determine, this photo and remembrance is dedicated to the both of you.

Please love and support our veterans, of all wars!
