BOSTON –Staff Sgt. Paul McCadden, 1st Civil Support Team, Massachusetts National Guard, surveys the area directly behind the finish line as he stands ready to respond to any hazardous threat that may occur during the 2014 Boston Marathon, April 21, 2014. Approximately 600 Massachusetts National Guardsmen are deployed along the route to assist local authorities in ensuring that the 2014 Boston Marathon is as safe as realistically possible. Due to the record number of runners this year, Guardsmen from numerous states are augmenting the Massachusetts National Guard's own specialized units. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. SANDY — The 85th Civil Support Team assisted local authorities monitor air quality due to a fire Monday morning at Fur Breeders Agricultural Cooperative, 8550 S. and 700 West.

The building contained ammonia and other chemicals, forcing authorities to evacuate nearby residents and block access to nearby roads.

The 85th CST, comprised of both Army and Air Force personnel, monitored the area for unsafe levels of ammonia and other chemical as the firefighters worked to put out the blaze.

Crisp linear piece with classic vaulted arch support. ***UPDATE***Elvis has left the building --This eye candy is heading off to a sweet bungalow in Peterson Park. Standing ovation for Will and Andrea for being GREAT customers. 2/20/12

The Harrods Blue Aurora doll has been fully deboxed. She is standing, supported by the included display stand.

I'm adding photos of the individual Pink and Blue Harrods Aurora dolls, that I failed to upload when they were taken more than three years ago.

Deboxing the Harrod Aurora dolls. After opening up the box, the plastic covers over the two dolls are removed, leaving the dolls in clear view. They are attached to the cardboard backing and plastic spacers. The Certificates of Authenticity are removed from under the inner boxes, and place in front of the dolls. They both say 32 of 100, as did the shipping carton. Next the inner cardboard backing, with the dolls attached, are removed from the box. They are free standing, and are placed next to each other.

Opening the box. First the front cover is opened, revealing the two dolls facing each other in their own inner boxes. The hinges are made from thin cardboard. Then the cover is folded flat against the side of the box. The two inner boxes are then unfolded, so we can get a clear view of the Pink and Blue Aurora dolls. They are angled towards each other. The box halves have clear plastic covers, bordered by white designs and are without any text. Then the front cover is unfolded from the side of the box, to show the text on the inside. Finally the sections are fully unfolded, so the dolls and inner cover are facing straight ahead.

I purchased the special Harrods Limited Edition Aurora Doll Gift Set directly from Harrods on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. It was sold only by Harrods of London, and limited to 100 sets. The regular releases was on October 7 and 8. I first heard about the Harrods dolls on October 13, and it took a week of sleepless nights and persistent calling to finally get the dolls. It was shipped last Friday, Oct 24, and delivered to my home today Monday Oct 27.

The Harrods Aurora Doll Set consists of 17'' Princess Aurora dolls in Pink and Blue variations of her gown. The dolls are by the Disney Store, but with special embellishments over the ''regular'' releases (that were LE 5000 for the Pink, and LE 4000 for the Blue). They are in a unique box which opens up like a book, with the dolls enclosed in separate inner boxes, and facing each other like mirror images. They are #32 of 100.

The Aurora Doll Set was packed expertly by Harrods, with the original DS shipper box wrapped in heavy duty bubble wrap, then fitted inside a Harrods shipper box with no wriggle room. The receipt was on the top of the box, which showed the original price, the VAT that was removed, then the shipping charge and handling charge added. The total was 505.58 British pounds, or $817.85, which is just slightly more than the retail price of 500 pounds. That is more than three times the cost of the regular LE Aurora dolls (which retailed for $119.95).

I will post detailed photos of the set boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed. I will also post comparison photos with the ''regular'' LE Aurora dolls.

Mamie Morris lost her husband to Ebola in November 2014. She lives in King Robert Farm, a suburb or Monrovia, Liberia, together with her 3 children and has to support the whole family on her own.

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa produces an increasing number of affected people beyond those infected and dead.

Survivors, families, children, and health workers are dealing with the stress and trauma left behind by the disease. Psychosocial support is an approach that helps victims of Ebola to cope with stress and fosters resilience in communities and affected individuals.

Twice a week a team of four psychosocial workers and a supervisor of Action Contre la Faim (ACF) visit King Robert Farm to meet the only survivor and affected families in this village.

UNMEER has provided 9 cars to ACF to help it reach communities for contact tracing and psychosocial work.

I want somebody to share

Share the rest of my life

Share my innermost thoughts

Know my intimate details

Someone who'll stand by my side

And give me support

And in return

She'll get my support

She will listen to me

When I want to speak

About the world we live in

And life in general

Though my views may be wrong

They may even be perverted

She'll hear me out

And won't easily be converted

To my way of thinking

In fact she'll often disagree

But at the end of it all

She will understand me

I want somebody who cares

For me passionately

With every thought and

With every breath

Someone who'll help me see things

In a different light

All the things I detest

I will almost like

I don't want to be tied

To anyone's strings

I'm carefully trying to steer clear

Of Those things

But when I'm asleep

I want somebody

Who will put their arms around me

And kiss me tenderly

Though things like this

Make me sick

In a case like this

I'll get away with it

Happy mothers day! This is my mom, caryn, She is the best woman in the world and I would probably be in a gutter on the south side of chicago if it wasnt for her! She is a photographer her self! Her website!

She is probably the main reason I got into photorgaphy, not because it was "cool". She also supports in all the positive things I want to do, for example switching to the international school! She has done an amazing job at teaching me to not only accept other people's culture but to understand them. She has brought me all over the world and showed me things I would never even think about going to if she wasnt there. Even though there has been some incredibly late nights and a few lows mom is always there. I thought the absolute lease I could do on a day that celebrates her is make her my photo of the day.

I seriously could go on and on about how amazing she is, but I feel like this would be a 5 paragraph essay by the time I'm halfway done. I just want you to know she has the best sense of humor and loves to laugh, she knows whats right for me even though it doesn't always seem like the right route at the time, and mom is always there for me in the hardest moments.

Love you mom

Sorry about the awful lighting but yeah this was at dinner tonight!

UNESCO, with the Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA), financial support from the Government of Japan, and in partnership with the Institut de la Francophonie pour l'Education et la Formation (IFEF), the International Center for Girls' and Women's Education in Africa of the African Union (AU/CIEFFA), the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) and Microsoft, is organizing a regional training of trainers for representatives from the Ministry of Education and teacher trainers on gender-responsive STEM education in order to engage, inspire and empower more girls and women to undertake STEM studies.

The training adopts a theory-to-practice approach, drawing on UNESCO’s Cracking the Code report, the US Mission to UNESCO’s TeachHer initiative, and other resources and programme experience. The modules explore the situation related to STEM education in Africa, gender-responsive STEM education, gender-responsive pedagogy, gender-responsive teaching resources, and ICT integration in STEM education. The methodologies employ a mixture of interactive pedagogy including guided group activities, role play, group-based problem-solving and field visits, to build on participants’ facilitation skills.

The training of trainers is currently taking place in Nairobi, Kenya (3-14 September 2018). The regional training will take place from 22-26 October with national teams of 6 to 8 people from 12 French-speaking African countries (Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Comores, Chad, Côte d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, and Senegal). 1/76 scale diecast models of Mercedes Sprinter, long wheelbase high roof vans, depicting Transport Scotland and the Trunk Roads Incident Support Service (TRISS) operated by BEAR.

I had wanted to depict TRISS in model form, but couldn’t find any decals/transfers. However a seller on eBay, whom I had bought from previously, is open to suggestions. Imagine my surprise to be told within 24 hours that the decal set was ready for sale. 3 days later and I was applying them. I also bought a set of Vinyl decals of Variable Message Signs, commonly seen at the side of motorways, but importantly - fitted to the roof of TRISS vehicles.

I have modelled one van with its Variable Message board fully extended. The second van is depicted mid way through extending the board.

If I can find cheap donor models of the Oxford Diecast BTP Camera van, I may add extendable CCTV poles to these models in future.
