Super Robot Chogokin Getter Robo

Before all the Master Grade, High Grade models that Bandai the plastic model manufacturer did, they made System Injection kit... models with pieces that is molded in color plastic, and I'm talking about 1 single piece with 3 colors! It's a very creative design, and the process is now being used for Bandai making plamo parts like the Perfect Grade Gundam fingers, MG skeleton legs, and its rubber toys.

But anyway... before all that they released this Dragonar 1/72 model that was the first test of the technology (AFAIK, I think it's before Gundam's CCA model series which said to have the said technology as well but didn't have multi-color plastic molding, but had snap-fit design that this Dragonar lacks).

I bought this re-release a while back in Toronto CAN and I spent last week to build in the way System Injection kit promised -- finishing a model with simple painting skill, nothing fancy and you'd end up a reasonable quality end product.

The kit is mostly painted with markers and Gundam marter (paint markers), except for the gun metal and grey parts with actual model paint. Other than that I did nothing else! Even sanding was done to a minimum!

The end result is.. .well, honestly the problem is this first trial of System Injection only had 3 parts in correct color molded in (lower legs, shoulder armor and the blue part of the shield), so the painting process was actually as much as you painting a regular model. There're also parts that needs to be repaint white-over-lack, which is hectic if you're not priming nor using model paint. I think the result is so-so but it looks okay in this photo

But I have to say, it's enjoyable to finish this kit to re-live a part of the evolution of Bandai's model history.

This is Super Robot. He can be towed by the bike you see here. This bike is equipped with a generator attached to a trainer allowing a stationary bike to generate 200 watt hours of power. Super has a 12V battery to store this people power, and is equipped with 3 OLPC laptops, jumper cables, an air compressor, 5v USB charger, and 110 V charger.

Cog ist komplett zerlegbar in seine Einzelteile und Teil des sogenannten C.O.M.B.A.T. Weaponizer System - seine Einzelteile können an anderen Transformers Figuren als Waffe oder Rüstung angebracht werden .

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Cog is completely demountable into its component parts and part of the so-called C.O.M.B.A.T. Weaponizer System - its component parts can be attached to other Transformers figur to form Weapons or Armors.
