2013年3月現在 およそ1000のお好み焼き屋さんが店を構えるという広島市内。その中で唯一 オンリーワンのお好み焼きは何だろうと、はるみ（広島市東区曙）店主 高本正行さんは考えた。一般に、広島のお好み焼きはクレープ状の生地（薄力粉を水とみりん、だしで溶いたもの）を焼くことから始まるが、高本さんはこの最初のレシピを省いている。
曰く「お好み焼きは温野菜の料理でもある」と。化学調味料のたぐいは厳禁。他店のように押しつぶして焼かない。広島産のおいしい食材を最高の状態で味わえる一枚を目指している。

1）特注のステンレス製調理器具にオリーブオイルをひく
2）だしで溶いたたまご２コを焼く
3）広島産豚バラを250度の鉄板で焼く
4）豚バラとたまごをあわせる
5）うすい中華製の蒸し麺を200度の鉄板で焼く
蒸し麺は細めで油でコーティングされていない
6）特製の調合だし、桜えび、てんかすを麺の上へ
7）広島産ブラックマッペの細もやしを焼く
8）キャベツに秘伝の粉をふりかける
9）細もやしの上にキャベツを盛って焼く
10）キャベツの上にたまご＋豚バラをのせる
11）蒸し焼き
12）オタフクソースと青のりで仕上げ

Okonomiyaki is the most famous as Hiroshima soul food, and as for the number of the Okonomiyaki restaurants per population in each prefecture in Japan, Hiroshima prefecture ranks in the first. Okonomiyaki is cooked with superposition of cabbage, bean sprouts, pork, egg and noodles, which is soba or udon, on thin flour dough spread like crepe. This cooking method and the thick sweet sauce are different from Osaka style Okonomiyaki, which is cooked of mixing of flour dough and other ingredients. The history of Okonomiyaki seems to be more than 70 years ago, and it was almost cheap snack. After the World War 2 a lot of Okonomiyaki street stalls stood on the ground which was burned by the atomic bomb, and Okonomiyaki, which was made of a little flour dough and a few vegetables, helped Hiroshima people in the time of shortage of foods. There are more than 2000 Okonomiyaki restaurants around Hiroshima city.

Thrust faults are low-angle reverse faults, involving upward movement of the hanging wall and downward movement of the footwall. The fault planes of thrust faults are supposed to be less than 30 degrees from the horizontal, as seen in cross-section. Thrust faults, and reverse faults in general, form by compressional stress - they are common in mountain belts.
The light-colored rocks in the upper thrust plate are part of the basal Dunham Dolostone (upper Lower Cambrian). The gray-colored rocks in the lower thrust plate are part of the Iberville Formation (Middle Ordovician). The rocks look like shales, but they're not - they're intensely calcite-veined, dark gray lime mudstones (probably argillaceous).
Normally, one would not expect older rocks above younger rocks - that's an apparent violation of the Principle of Superposition. However, the principle only applies to non-disturbed/deformed rocks.
The Champlain Thrust Fault was active during the Taconic Orogeny, an Ordovician to Silurian mountain-building event involving the collision of a volcanic island arc with Laurentia (= the North American paleocontinent). The fault zone was also active during the subsequent Acadian Orogeny (Silurian to Devonian).
Locality: lakeshore cliff in small cove north of Lone Rock Point, northwestern side of the town of Burlington, northwestern Chittenden County, northwestern Vermont, USA (44° 29' 41.33" North latitude, 73° 14' 49.46" West longitude)

Two Sash Bradshaw figures from the Bradshaw Period of the Erudite Epoch painted on top of a boomerang and hand stencil from the Irregular Infill Animal Period of the earlier Archaic Epoch. The Sash Bradshaw figures variously show a number of typical features - from top to bottom - the 'Dunce Cap Headdress' and 'Pompom Tip' with a feather, a 'Bird Wing Feature' mounted on the forehead, 'Tuft Armbands', a 'Waist Pompom' and a waist-mounted 'Barred Three Point Sash' the barring perhaps indicative of woven or painted material. The figures hold boomerangs and one holds a 'Whisk'.

While waiting for the bus, I was looking in the empty store front at the north-west corner of Ninth and Race. I thought the superposition of the scene inside the store (through the window) with the scene outside (reflected in the window) was interesting. View large for a better look at the wheelbarrow in the center of the frame.
