One of the most fun projects I've worked on this year so far. A commissioned piece on the side of a shipping container located right across from my studio at 1000 Parker in East Vancouver. This piece called 'Bricks' is for Powers Construction.
The project came in fast and furious but I still took the job because I have a very soft spot for murals and especially when I get to go shopping for new paints.
Big thanks to my wife Denise and my friend Kenji for assisting me. Could not have done this without their help. This piece was done in 2 full days using Montana Gold spray paint, Frogger tape and DTM paint. Primed with two layers as base coat prior to painting. The approved art concept was executed freehand. No projectors or grids used to execute.

This house was in dire need of attention just a scant few years ago. How wonderful to see that the current owners have gone all out to sympathetically update and improve this super place. There is nothing more delightful in interior design than thoughtful use of blended bright and bold colors, and a witty and creative sense of furnishing and décor. These folks have super fabulous taste. Their use of antique and contemporary furniture and art side by side together from room to room is soooo freakin cool. I'm just loving every inch of this house both architecturally, and with regard to it's interior design. The Hirshfeld as you walk in the front door; the collection of grannies finery in the ante room; the unbelievably exquisite music cabinet and grandfather clock; - - all of it is just CHOICE.. So much fun. And That St. Charles kitchen! OY - I die.. So much to say about this BEAUTIFUL home. I really hope they are selling for happy reasons because they deserve to enjoy this house FAR longer than they have owned it.. NICELY DONE!!!

Unedited shot of the Central Station Amsterdam, reflected in a puddle. Taken with my Sony HX1. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)
Yesterday my good friend, the very talented Mr. P, has arrived in the best city in the world for a Queensday vacation and we kicked off by having a superfun night of drinking with some friends at my place, we laughed so much and didn't go to bed until the early morning. We're still a bit drunk and looking forward to the weekend, where we intend to go completely nuts together with 16 million Dutchies clad in orange gear, to celebrate our Queen :))
Thank God it's Friday!
