Norway is a place of endless natural beauty. Incredible fjords, winding small roads, raw tunnels carved through the bedrock and so much more. These images are from summer road trips during 2024.

These images do not utilize AI and are original imagery with no items added or removed (such as errant leaves, pieces of trash, or power lines). What you see is as close to the moment as I experienced it.

Scattata poco prima del tramonto del sole

Took this this evening, yes - fall is in the air, and the colors show.

In February of 2023 I'd planned a trip to Turkey with a stop in Istanbul before heading to the South East. Tragically the quake hit on the 2nd day of the trip while I was still in Istanbul. In a pivot, I re-directed to Venice Airport, rented a car and then spent the remainder solo-road tripping through the Dolomites. These are the photos from that trip.

In the tender embrace of the waning light,

She stands at the threshold of day and night.

Her gown, a cascade of sunset's own lace,

Catches the colors of the sun's soft chase.

The wind plays with her golden hair,

A dance with the breeze, an evening's affair.

Her silhouette against the glowing tide,

A portrait of peace, where calm resides.

The river, a mirror of the sky's mood,

Reflects the sun's descent, a golden flood.

The mountains whisper in hushed tones too,

As if they share this moment with you.

She gazes at the horizon's fiery line,

Where the dreams of day and night entwine.

In her stance, a story untold,

Of silent thoughts and reflections bold.

The sky's canvas, a masterpiece of light,

Bids the sun farewell, welcomes the night.

In this painting of time, she is the muse,

A vision of grace, the artist's ruse.

May her peace find a way to your heart,

As the day ends and the night starts.

For in this moment, under the sun's last light,

We all share her whispers with the coming night.

With Sunset Reflection I brought together three unfinished images and made them one. I set fire on the water, turned the sunset upside down, erased and color-range-selected until I thought the image finally looks striking.
