The waves caused by the incoming tide and with the help of winds reflected the setting sun. They had a lovely red tinted reflection, as the sun set it was a deep red, due to the haze in the skies, caused by the many burning forest fires all over BC. It made for some wonderful photo opportunities.

No editing was done on this photo; presented as taken from my camera.

Light after the sun dipped below the hill over the River Adur at Shoreham in Sussex, full high tide at sunset with the chapel of Lancing college reflecting in the river.

The sunset did not really happen at Perranporth but the nice red glow appeared on the horizon perfecly for me .

If you avoid the conflict to keep the peace, you start a war within yourself!

Lindisfarne castle stands tall and proud on Holy Island in the distance. A late evening wander out with the camera when the sun had long gone down, you just never know what you may find. Looking over the North sea to the North West from the harbour arm at Seahouses in Northumberland. I have slightly de saturated the blues in this one.

The Beauty of Finnish Summer - Sunset reflections on lake. Hausjärvi, Finland. 27.7.2018

It was once again wonderful to paddle with my kayak on warm windless Finnish lake during sunset. Sunset light creates beautifully colored water reflections. As usual when kayaking I used mainly my Nikon D610 and Nikkor 28-300mm.

Sunset reflections of Ben Mor Coigach, Cul Beag and Stac Pollaidh and Cul Mor in Lochan an Ais, Assynt & Coigach, NW Scotland.

A nice sunset surf at Harlyn bay in Cornwall.

Following on from my previous image "The big One "https://www.flickr.com/photos/17469730@N00/49419484373/in/datetaken-public/This image was taken a little later, I just managed to capture the cloud reflection before it was covered by an incoming wave .

I met up with two fellow Flickr togs on Thursday evening Alan Markham www.flickr.com/photos/tallaltiger1050 and Graham Markham www.flickr.com/people/inkslinger15/ .

We met at the old Toll bridge at Shoreham in Sussex for high tide and sunset and I must say we were not disappointed with the conditions we were presented with, great to meet you chaps. .

My first image from the evening you maybe familiar with from previous images from this spot , I put on the Little stopper to lengthen my exposure to smooth the water out to make the most of the reflections from those lovely clouds , more to come in due course .

One of the later sunset shots I took on this evening, one thing I had forgot to do was change my settings from shooting hand held during the day, to be honest I was rather late getting to this spot after being indecisive about where to shoot the sunset. However, I got some shots but had not noticed my ISO was still at 400 doh,I prefer to shoot at 100 or if I can get away with it 50 for the quality and latitude it gives me .

So this is one of a number of compositions I made before it got a bit too dark on our last night in Cornwall, more to come from Cornwall in due course .

Wandering down to the harbour after work on another night in Sydney. Parking near Lavender Bay, and walking to Kirribilli, via Milsons Point and Luna Park.

Listening to 'Sister Sledge' on my Sony WH-1000XM5 wireless headphones. Sitting near Jeffrey Street Wharf. This is the view.

And here's my favourite Sister Sledge track: 'Lost in Music'. BUT this is the definitive extended mix version by the brilliant Dimitri of Paris.

Or you may prefer the more conventional, original 1979 version. Still awesome!!

Perfect for watching the Sydney sunset lighting up the harbour and the bridge from my seat near the Jeffrey Street Wharf.

And, after dark, Kirribilli village has gelato, or coffee, or both.

zonsondergang en hoogwater

A thirteen second exposure just enough to flatten what was already a calm sea as the sun got lower into the sea .

One of the last shots I took after the sun had gone down one evening. With my tripod kept low to capture the textures in the sand and ripples in the flowing water down the beach, I also wanted to capture the people way down on the waters edge to emphasize the flatness of this beach and how far the tide goes out. Keeping a low PoV enabled me to capture the light and colour reflecting back off the water and wet sand.

I took a couple more shots then i off to the pub for a couple of pints of ale. Croyde bay North Devon.

the very same clouds are reflected on the water surface, as well as the last light of the sun. Quiet sunset scene.

Son crueles agujas de hielo,

sobresaltos,

estelas que las aguas borran,

caras en las nubes que nos quieren hablar.

Having got a sunset at the same time as the high tide when I got to this point the tide had started to ebb . The River Adur at Shoreham in Sussex, the old Toll bridge.

Fishing at sunset on Sunset Bay, Lake Butte des Morts at Sunset Point, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The penultimate image from that evenings outing where I spotted how nice the light had become while driving past a gap in a hedgerow. It was an instant pull over to grab some images from Mill hill across the Adur Valley to Lancing College, all nicely lit up with a great sky and some nice light reflected in the river Adur. Lancing College chapel is amazing inside well worth a trip .

Finalment només vull silenci, el sol que escalfa dolors i silenci, els núvols que dibuixen records i silenci, l'aire que em refresca la pell i silenci, l'olor a terra mullada i silenci, en mig de tantes paraules que no diuen res, només silenci.

Croyde in North Devon. I took a whole bunch of images when I was after this shot which I have posted before but not this particular one. I was kneeling on a dry bit of sand with my tripod in the flow of water. I just focused on the bit of driftwood which was bobbing about in the flow but luckily enough kept reasonably still for the duration of my exposure. We are off now to take the dog for a haircut which will take around an hour and a half, so I have time to kill, I`m going to walk around to a local cemetery to see if there are any images to be had .

Meteorological event quickly unfolds over Mt Somerville and Mt Tomewin. Sunset reflections are swallowed up by another burst of thunderstorms moving over the Gold Coast from the west.

Just moving some files from my computer to my hard drive and discovered I had not moved the images I had taken on that day over to the hard drive, I`ll post a couple more in a day or so, this is the beach down from where I live, sadly the light from this direction will not be back until late October.

I thought I would work on something that maybe will bring a little light after the past day or so of amazing winds and rain.

After doing some long exposures I thought I would grab a few shots of the pier and along the beach as all the pier lights had come on .

Back to the spring and a lovely sunset sky over the River Adur at Bramber in Sussex.

Ein Klassiker in Hamburg - Altona. Dockland beim Sonnentuntergang

The sunset that seemed to go on forever and had me still shooting images well into the blue hour as the colours in the clouds were forever changing.

One of the last images I took after the sun had gone and tide dropped out last week.

The old toll bridge across the river Adur at Shoreham By Sea in Sussex. I took a number of images previous to this up river of Lancing college but came back here to get a reflection across the wet mud prior to my walk back to the car across the bridge .

Sunset reflections......Looking easterly direction away from sunset.

A wander on the beach where I live last night , the sky was looking pretty in pink,

On a bend in the River Adur near to Steyning and Bramber in Sussex.

Again here a longer shutter speed, I wanted to capture the flow of odd bit`s and pieces floating by as the incoming tide flowed past my Tripod.

Bosham harbour on a lovely still evening .

I love to see the seagulls playing with the waves, yes they are a pest when they poo all over my car and garden and sometimes me as well but I love to see them against a lovely sky . Quite a large crop to bring the shot forwards.

"We waited for the sun to set over Satang Island, hoping for that perfect golden farewell. But nature had other plans. The sun hid behind clouds, its light breaking through just enough to remind us of its presence. Not dramatic, but quietly beautiful.

Sunsets, like our lives, don’t follow a script. Each one is unique—some bold, others gentle—yet all fleeting and final. They remind us to pause, to feel, and to appreciate the beauty in what is, not what we expected.

May we all set as gracefully and beautifully as the sun—leaving behind a sky that remembers we were here."

A lovely way to end the day with some reflections across the wet sand, just a question of timing the shutter between the waves .
