October 14, 2020 - Sunset behind "The Dublin Link" pedestrian bridge tower.

My goal was to get some good sunset shots and the sun and clouds didn't disappoint this evening. Bridge Park Avenue in the Dublin Bridge Street District. Dublin, Ohio.

In February of 2023 I'd planned a trip to Turkey with a stop in Istanbul before heading to the South East. Tragically the quake hit on the 2nd day of the trip while I was still in Istanbul. In a pivot, I re-directed to Venice Airport, rented a car and then spent the remainder solo-road tripping through the Dolomites. These are the photos from that trip.

Norway is a place of endless natural beauty. Incredible fjords, winding small roads, raw tunnels carved through the bedrock and so much more. These images are from summer road trips during 2024.

Taken in Portencross on 30/05/10. I had noticed how gorgeous the sky looked from my living room and so I drove over to Portencross to try and get a couple of nice shots. There were a couple of other people out with cameras so i had to try very hard not to get to close to them for fear of suffering extreme camera or lens envy! I've seen a couple of shots on flickr which have been taken at the same place and the on the same night as these and they look stunning so try and have a search for them (one of them is in my favourites). I hope one day I am able to produce shots like that but for now these will do :)

(this is not a filter or composite. I only adjusted levels, contrast, etc.)

A stunning reverse sunset unfolded over Wivenhoe Dam, with the vibrant colours of the fading sky and clouds reflecting perfectly across the still water. The hues of pink, orange, and purple danced on the water’s surface, creating a breathtaking mirror image of the sky. The serene, glassy waters of the dam added to the peaceful ambiance, making the scene feel almost surreal and timeless.

Same photo just different effects...

Was wandering around the yard the other evening, camera in hand of course, and noticed the sunset reflecting off my shed window...its just a old cruddy window thats broken across one of the panes...but with the reflection of that beautiful golden sunset shining off it...it gave it all new meaning for me...
