The original photo was a sunset streaming through a condo window overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in SW Florida. Photoleap Cloud Wanderer components were used to add the sun-stylized version of me as a toddler and a pelican to the image.
Buddy Steve took this one and caught the sunset at just the right moment. You climb close to 700 feet in 3.7 miles up this narrow V-canyon and end up with a gunsight view of the sunset. Stream was flowing loudly which is a rarity for us.

Light from a golden sunset streamed into the woods surrounding Gillette Castle in East Haddam, Connecticut during a recent visit.
The sunset reflects in a stream of fresh water on the sand alongside Spanish Bay in Northern California.

Fin Dome and Painted Lady seen from between Dollar and Arrowhead Lakes, John Muir Wilderness, Kings Canyon National Park, California.
This is another in my John Muir Trail series. It is a three-exposure, shutter bracket HDR composite of the area between Dollar Lake (10200') and Arrowhead Lake. I have a similar image in my Photostream, but this was made later in the evening. Please view my other JMT images in my JMT set.
A waxing gibbous moon is framed among golden-colored clouds as sunset approaches in the High Sierra crest of Kings Canyon National Park. It's feeding time for myriad trout in this stream and they're feasting on low-flying insects just above the surface of the water.
I hiked here from our campsite at Dollar Lake to wait out the sunset at this beautiful location. I walked out on a fallen tree and set up my tripod so that the rocks in the foreground are literally just about two feet in front of my Nikon D7000 and Tokina 11-16mm set up. I was on this log for over an hour and I'm pleased to report that my camera didn't fall into the stream once. Whew.
