Up at two am to race the sun for this spectacular sunrise. It was a busy day- two National Parks, one State Park and a long hike on BLM land. Over a thousand images made. This is the first I am showing.

An image I thought I had lost turned up in an old backup. A lovely sunset at Howe hill in Norfolk. We were treated with watching the marsh harriers doing their thing!
I totally ordered this new fashion from A La Mode De Didier for “myself!” I love absolutely everything about it! Amazing style and details, and the color and print is the best!
I was desperate to take a photo, but by 3:30 pm I was losing the light. I had to steal the last slice of sunset streaming in my kitchen window to take some quick cell phone shots!
(I tricked my husband into thinking I’d made a miniature of our real kitchen with one of these photos!!)

I left my office and the sun was setting behind a huge cloud bank, so I wasn't expecting any kind of sunset at all. I headed to the World Financial Center to get the ferry and as I got to the Esplanade in Battery Park City, the massive Carnival Splendor was heading down the Hudson. The sunset streamed out as the ship headed toward the Statue of Liberty and then disappeared within minutes.
I had my Fujifilm X20 compact digital camera in my jacket pocket and took a few shots.
Before this last storm, we had a week of remarkable sunsets, each one more breathtaking than the last. Here, the low clouds parted outside the Golden Gate...the sunset streaming through the Gate and below the cloud deck.
