Vampire at Sunset, captured years back with my Vivitar 3-in-1 Mini Digital Camera. I love how it creates tiny images that look more like miniature oil paintings than photos.
This is the sunset captured over the San Francisco Maritime Historic Park at the foot of Hyde Street.
I even managed to capture a blimp flying over the scene!
Unfortunately, I also underexposed this image ... which coupled with shooting at ISO 1600 produced some nasty noise, so I had to work a bit in post processing here ...
Sunset in Chandler, Arizona. This is the same sunset captured in my previous image, titled "The long day wanes."

Haven't done any sunset captures for months now, so yesterday evening looked like it might be a good one.........so sat and waited. Wasn't disappointed.......the cirrus clouds were lovely.
I have few shots from last night......so I hope you don't get too bored as I post some more over the next couple of days :-)

It was 90 degrees in Minneapolis today - The Saint Louis River Valley was 71 degrees when I arrived at 4:30pm and 61 when I left 30 minutes after sunset.
Captured with an RF remote.
As a side note: Wood ticks are out there in high numbers this year due to the mild winter. Since I began treating my boots and clothing with Pertemthrin a few weeks ago I have not found a single tick on my skin or clothing.

15 min. taken later than the other I posted & had to up the ISO to 1600.
This was taken at 8:15pm and I have seen the exif data & it is wrong & Yes the NEW camera has no AM/PM setting,,, GRrrrrr,,, I will get it figured out tho!

Jaisalmer cityscape
Like a sandcastle in the Thar desert, the old and decaying fort of Jaisalmer still stands proud over its people. Rightfully nicknamed the 'golden city', this desert outpost is within 30 km of the India/Pakistan border. Over the centuries this fort has seen many battles as the Hindi kingdoms to the east fought to secure this important city from Islamic threat from Pakistan and the Persian areas.
Jaisalmer is hot and muggy city. From the hours of 11AM to 4PM very little can be done. The heat rises to 43'C-46'C degrees and most people run for cover. Evidence of India's strained infrastructure is very present here. Electricity is interrupted daily and most establishments are forced to have generators as a result. This is true in most Indian cities. It's not easy to find a cool spot around midday when the electricity goes out. The breezy hill pictured here provides some relief from the heat. The 'golden city' becomes a fairy tale city around sunset capturing the sun's golden rays.
