The temperature was way below freezing, -5ºc at best. Frost and snow carpeted the land and the trees, while the sun and blue sky shone down upon us all day.... 21/12/2010
Taken around False Creek just before sunset during a photo walk around Vancouver, BC. It made for some fantastic light reflections on the city skyline. Kept pulling my camera back out of my backpack.
A serene sunset over a body of water features two swans swimming with dark mountains silhouetted in the background. The sky is filled with warm orange and purple hues, creating a tranquil and picturesque scene. Lake Taupo, NZ.
Sunset from 13th July 2016. Instead of a typical sunset image I decided to train my camera onto the shrubbery growing in front of me.
This is an HDR that I took last year in November. it was a cloudy and partly rainy day. My first plan was to take a picture of the setting sun in the background, but the clouds prevented that, the sky still looked amazing so I took an HDR like this instead. Low tide also helped make a nicer background without the risk of blurry wave movement.
I am running through a lot of my old photos and finding ones that are worthy of editing and uploading here.
This is a Double HDR made of 4 different exposures....one detail enhanced HDR, one tone compressed HDR...combined in Photoshop CS2...along with levels and curves layers. I never wanted to use a frame before for my photos, but I found for this particular shot it would be nice not to include the text and copyrights into the image itself. Final color editing was done in Lightroom.

Snow-capped mountains stand majestically with clouds hovering low, partially obscuring the peaks. The foreground is covered in a dark, lush terrain, contrasting with the bright sky that transitions softly from pink to blue. Tongariro Crossing, New Zealand.

After walking through Victoria Chinatown, we decided to have some Korean deep fried chicken for dinner; it was one of the best fried chickens I had in British Columbia. The name of the restaurant is Chimac Korean Pub & Fried Chicken. I really wish they actually open one location in Vancouver haha....
Before we head back to Swartz Bay Terminal, we stopped by Ogden Point Sundial to enjoy the sunset. I had to rely on my steady hand, IBIS, and luck to get this shot. I always think that taking photos of waves are pretty hard as every approach wave is very different. Even with the same camera setting, you can get different result depending on how fast the waves are approaching. After multiple tries, I think I got the shot I like :)
