Nature holds high disregard for your prowess, it's fury you will never possess. Shy away from early morning caress, the ocean holds our hearts - so say the foolish and careless. As they realize now, running towards the ships bow; we made a blunder, the ship is torn asunder - so it shall be for our flesh and bone. We sought to venture out into life alone...anguish will soon vanish under skies of thunder...
From a high mountain peak above the wilderness of Lolo National Forest in Idaho. Looking westward as the sun filters through the smoke of fires burning near Sand Point and Washington State.
Still can't get over this gorgeous sunset! Thank you for viewing :)

Sun shines brightly on both sides of myself, I alone consent. The cold past reaches eerily near to my walk at present...my future seems so far away, is the walk worth the distance or has my judgment once again been blinded by a passing mirage of brilliance; indeed I lack in confidence, this I confess as I walk hunched over I will not look up to see what I cannot hold or possess...
Note; image here on Flickr is not color calibrated and appears too orange and over saturated (I can provide link if requested of how it should look if printed) Changing or replacing the photo on Flickr will cause the filename to change and cause all off-site links to display 'image not available' picture and I have not got the time to update all the other link URL's affected at this point.
This road leads downhill to the small village of Crowdicote on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border. On the left of the image you can see the road continue through the Staffordshire part of the Peak District on this snowy afternoon in December just a short while before sunset. This image is best viewed in its original size format to see all the details of the valley.

A very "heavy" over Hatton Cross as the sun sets.
Not the typical Aer Lingus A320 on finals into Heathrow, Aer Lingus have been using their transatlantic A330 fleet on some evening trips between Dublin & Heathrow, namely their EI182/183 & later EI178/179 since the pandemic with all the extra air freight stuffed in the belly.
EI-GAJ " St Carthage / Mochuta ", an A330-330 usually found further afield in the likes of San Fransicso & Los Angelas on finals for 27L at Heathrow passes over Hatton Cross tube & bus station, just shy of the airport perimeter fence on Shamrock 182 from Dublin.
Captured during a sunset hike at Mt Baldy ... The moon was out, and so as many enthusiasts...

Ok, I'll admit this is stupid but I'm sticking with it. I was originally advised that it wasn't acceptable to show people's faces in a street scene. I worked around that by obscuring the faces. I've since read that it's okay if the faces are in a public scene. However, I'm sticking with the first iteration.
A little Easter egg: spot the "have a nice day" shirt hidden in the crowd.
Another awesome sunset on the central coast of California. Golden yellow, orange and pastel pinks were the colors of this one and are a great contrast to the dark blue evening sky, don't you think?
