Sesungguhnya ilmu kita ternyata belum membuat kita menjadi takut kepada Allah...
Maka sedarlah, bahawa sesungguhnya kita belumlah seorang yang berilmu.

I am home now - with a lot of work ahead of me. For now, I'm going to put my feet up and look through your streams. Thanks for the visits, comments and faves while I was gone - I have many more to share. :)
For those of you who wondered, these tress are not alive. The ocean has been reclaiming the forest here - these trees were once standing in a forest. These just happen to be the few still standing.

I stood and watched the changing sunset for about 10 minutes last night.....oh so wonderful to be able to see this from our kitchen window!!
thanks so much for you visits and have a great day
Depending on the area, sunsets are never the same. Throughout our many years of traveling, sunsets have been many different colors and seem to gain beauty with their bright colors every year. The splash of color that covers the sky is more than beautiful.

I drove up and down the Foothills Parkway in the pre-dawn darkness a few weeks ago trying to decide on a viewpoint for the sunrise over the Smoky Mountains. I hadn't had the chance to scout during the daylight and as the sky started to lighten, I got progressively more nervous.
Eventually, I circled back to one of the first spots I had seen and frantically got everything set up, focused and dialed in. I didn't have much of a foreground but I figured it was what I deserved for my failure to scout ahead. I took a deep breath and started to relax just as the sun started to peek over the peaks. And then I noticed Mountain Laurel blooming not more than 50 feet away down a little trail...a wonderful foreground for the sunrise.
I grabbed my tripod and stumbled down the path just in time to capture this scene.
Yeah, I'd like to tell you that I had pre-visualized and planned this shot months in advance...but, well...
