As I walk towards my home one day, I was impressed by the way the rays of the early morning sun are reflecting through the trees. This is in the Model Colony district in the western Indian city of Pune (Poona). (Pune/ Poona, Oct. 2010)
We played tourist in Seattle and went up the Needle. We got some great views from top, haven't been up in a long time.
A Dendrobium orchid hybrid of historical significance having been registered in 1919 and receiving a First Class Certificate with the Royal Horticultural Society, England, being the highest award that could be achieved for an orchid at that time. It's parents are Dendrobium pulchellum ( formerly dalhousianum) x Dendrobium Illustre (which was Dendrobium pulchellum x chrysotoxum) . This Dendrobium grows to 2 metres tall and is still considered an incredible spectacle when flowered well.

Today one of Jackie's sisters was visiting so a quick walk in the local fields and woods for Ruby. The sun was shining and so 7 images of the flowers and grasses and a landscape
Days spent looking for sunlight, sunrays, dewdrops and spider webs. I came across this huge spider web and, yes; the owner was at home. It was not the web that first attracted me; it was the sunlight through the web. And when I positioned myself in just the right spot, without coming face to face with the spider, I caught the sunrays.
