A Saturday evening in Gloucestershire. No luck in finding some feathered friends but the sunset made up for it.
Dark clouds with a silver lining and silver sunrays fanned across the horizon looked as if the heavens were opening. In our lives sometimes we go through dark times but we must remind ourselves that God is there and He is our silver lining giving us light through the darkest of times.
In the rain, on the evening of February 5, 2013, I took this photo of painted panels on Sunray Avenue in Herne Hill, part of the inter-war development of the Denmark Hill and Red Post Hill area. They decorate the hoarding around an abandoned building, which looked like a pub, next to the entrance to the Charter School, a secondary school, although I can't find any reference to a pub on the site.
